Former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger may not be playing anymore, but he is returning to a football field in the near future.
Mettenberger has been named the new offensive coordinator at Hillsboro High School in Nashville, Tennessee, according to a report from Clint Brewster of 247Sports.
I'm told former LSU and Titans QB Zach Mettenberger is now the offensive coordinator at Hillsboro high school in Nashville.

Mettenberger was at LSU for three seasons after transferring from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, completing on 61.8% of his passing attempts for 5,783 yards, 35 touchdowns and 15 interceptions for the Tigers.

He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, completing 60.29% of his pass attempts for 2,347 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions over 14 games.
He did not record a win a starter in his professional career until his stint with Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express, when the team topped the San Diego Fleet, 26-23.
Many of us thought Mettenberger would get another chance to play football when the XFL started up again this year, but he surprisingly was not selected by a team.
I’m still a little confused about that, but at the end of the day, not everyone’s going to like you or like your style of play and I’m okay with that,” Mettenberger told me back in February. “I firmly believe in my abilities as a quarterback, and really that’s all that matters, is just having confidence in yourself.”
