The Eagles are always looking to add talent to the roster, and with Dallas Goedert injured, the team could look to bring back a future Ring of Honor nominee.
The Cardinals and tight end Zach Ertz mutually parted ways, with Arizona deciding to move forward with Trey McBride as the feature tight end while allowing Ertz to finish the season somewhere else.
Ertz went unclaimed, and he’s now a free agent, and can sign with any team. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Philadelphia does in fact have interest in adding Ertz to the roster.
Former Cardinals’ TE Zach Ertz cleared waivers today and is now free to sign with any team, per source. The Eagles, a franchise for which Ertz needs 11 catches to pass Harold Carmichael and become their all-time leading receiver, are expected to have interest in re-signing him.

Goedert is listed as doubtful for Week 13 against the 49ers.
Still, production at the position has been limited when he’s out of the lineup, and Ertz could provide Jalen Hurts with a trusted security blanket if needed.
Ertz exited Philadelphia with 579 receptions, 6,267 yards, and 38 touchdowns, the most catches by a tight end in a single season. He’ll go down as one of the best players in franchise history, making a significant impact in the city.
