Caitlin Clark tried (but failed) to play coy about participating in the WNBA All-Star 3-point contest

It’s fine, Caitlin. We know you have to lie to us.

Caitlin Clark won’t say if she’ll participate in the WNBA All-Star Weekend 3-point contest later this month.

Not only is Caitlin only one of two rookies to make the Team WNBA roster, but she’s arguably one of the best 3-point shooters in the whole league. (By the way, not having Caitlin Clark in the WNBA’s 3-point contest would be absolutely criminal.)

But Caitlin refuses to admit whether or not she’ll compete against the league’s other elite 3-point specialists. When Clark was recently asked about her involvement, this is what she told reporters:

“Remains to be seen. We’ll see. I don’t know. I’m excited…Can’t give you guys every answer today.”

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese highlight Team WNBA 2024 for this year’s All-Star Game

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are officially 2024 WNBA All-Stars after making Team WNBA.

The 2024 WNBA All-Star roster has been unveiled, and the two most electric rookies in the league be playing in Arizona this month.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will be representing Team WNBA during the All-Star Game against Team USA on Saturday, July 20, at Phoenix’s Footprint Center.

No players on Team USA, including superstars like A’Ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu and Diana Taurasi, are eligible for Team WNBA since it spotlights the players not on the country’s official team.

That’s why Clark and Reese are two of the marquee names on the list, as are Clark’s Indiana Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell and New York Liberty standout Jonquel Jones.

Clark and Reese are also the only WNBA rookies on the team.

Let’s break down the full 12-player roster for Team WNBA 2024.

  • DeWanna Bonner, Connecticut Sun
  • Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever
  • Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever
  • Allisha Gray, Atlanta Dream
  • Dearica Hamby, Los Angeles Sparks
