Iowa destroyed Iowa State 75-56, covering as 3-point home favorites Thursday. The cover pushed Iowa’s against-the-spread (ATS) record to 6-3 on the season.

The Hawkeyes are a perfect 5-0 straight up at home as well. F Kris Murray — the twin brother of former Hawkeye and 2022 NBA Draft 4th overall pick Keegan Murray — leads Iowa in scoring (19.4 points per game) and rebounds (10.1 RPG).

As for the Badgers, they are 7-2 ATS this season and are 1-0 straight up on the road. They have covered 5 of their last 6 games. Wisconsin is coming off a 64-59 conference home victory over No. 13 Maryland Tuesday, covering as a 2.5-point favorite.

Wisconsin at Iowa picks and predictions

Prediction

Iowa 66, Wisconsin 64

Moneyline

PASS.

Wisconsin at (+150) is enticing, but considering it hasn’t played a difficult road game this season, I’d stay away. However, the Badgers did take down Marquette 80-77 in overtime Dec. 3 in their lone road contest.

Against the spread

LEAN WISCONSIN +4.5 (-115).

The Badgers have a solid roster and have 3 players averaging double figures.

Also, they have played better against top competition than the Hawkeyes have. Wisconsin lost to Kansas 69-68 on a neutral court in overtime. It has taken down USC, Maryland and Dayton, covering in all 3 as a favorite of 3.5 points or fewer.

Iowa lost 74-62 to No. 15 Duke on a neutral court. While the Hawkeyes are 5-0 ATS at home, the Badgers should pose a stronger battle than teams like Georgia Tech or Iowa State.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 134.5 (-110).

If there is one thing both sides have been great at this season, it is cashing Under tickets. Wisconsin is 4-5 O/U, while Iowa is 3-6 O/U.

The Badgers’ strength is in their defense, allowing the 24th-fewest points per game (59.8). They also hold their opponents to 40.5% from the field and 29.2% from deep.

While Iowa has consistently scored on weaker opponents, it sits 107th in field-goal percentage (46.5%), which shows a clearer picture than its 82.4 PPG.

Considering the Hawkeyes hold opponents to just 30.1% from deep, 3-pointers may not be easy to come by. Ultimately, BACK UNDER 134.5 (-110).

Wisconsin vs. Iowa odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Wisconsin Badgers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Wisconsin Badgers (17-11, 10-10 Big 10) clash with the No. 6 Iowa Hawkeyes (20-7, 13-6) Friday in the quarterfinals of the Big 10 Men’s College Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Wisconsin-Iowa odds and lines, with NCAA college basketball picks and predictions.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Wisconsin vs. Iowa: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 1:55 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Wisconsin +155 (bet $100 to win $155) | Iowa -190 (bet $190 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Wisconsin +4.5 (-110) | Iowa -4.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 142.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Wisconsin vs. Iowa: Three things to know

  1. The Badgers recovered from a 3-game losing streak by eking out a 75-74 win over Penn State as 5.5-point favorites in the first round of the Big 10 tourney. One of those losses was to the Hawkeyes, 77-73, but Wisconsin covered as 7.5-point underdogs.
  2. Aside from a 22-point blistering at Michigan Feb. 25, Iowa has won the other seven of its past eight games and are 5-3 ATS in those games.
  3. The Hawkeyes have won three straight over the Badgers, but Wisconsin is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings with Iowa.

Wisconsin vs. Iowa: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wisconsin 71, Iowa 68

Money line (ML)

Lean on WISCONSIN (+155) because I like the Badgers plus points, and if it weren’t for garbage officiating at the end of their previous game against the Hawkeyes, Wisconsin would’ve upset them.

Also, Iowa’s best 3-point shooter SF Joe Wieskamp is doubtful to play in this game after spraining his ankle in the game with Wisconsin.

The Hawkeyes led by as many as 11 points before Wieskamp went down and he scored 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting with two made threes in 12 minutes.

Wieskamp is Iowa’s 2nd-leading scorer and 2nd on the team in win shares and the line is not accounting enough for his absence because Wooden Award finalist C Luka Garza is still in the lineup and the Hawkeyes are having a great season.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Definitely BET WISCONSIN +4.5 (-110) instead of the money line.

The Badgers have the size to make Garza work and the absence of Wieskamp reduces Iowa’s 3-point edge making it easier for a pretty good Wisconsin 3-point defense.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET UNDER 142.5 (-110). The Under has cashed in six of the previous eight Wisconsin-Iowa games and the market has accounted for Iowa’s scoring prowess hence its 14-13 O/U record.

Furthermore, according to Pregame.com, 80% of the money is on the Over but the total has been moved down from a 145.5-point opener, which tells me the House knows the Under is the right side.

Wisconsin at Iowa odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Wisconsin Badgers at Iowa Hawkeyes odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Wisconsin Badgers (16-10 overall, 10-9 Big Ten) visit the Iowa Hawkeyes (19-7, 13-6) in a Sunday afternoon contest at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. Tip-off will be at 12:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Wisconsin-Iowa odds and lines, with NCAA college basketball picks and predictions.

Iowa is No. 8 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Wisconsin at Iowa: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:50 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Wisconsin +260 (bet $100 to win $260) | Iowa -350 (bet $350 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Wisconsin +7.5 (-115) | Iowa -7.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 144.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Wisconsin at Iowa: Three things to know

  1. The Hawkeyes are looking to stay on a late-season roll that has seen them win six of their last seven games. Iowa is looking to solidify a No. 3 seed — and the double-bye that goes with it — in next week’s Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. The Hawkeyes are the circuit’s top-scoring team by nearly a 5-point margin: UI is averaging 85.3 points per game.
  2. The Badgers were a 12-3 team ranked 10th in the nation back on Jan. 20. Since then, Wisconsin is a mere 4-7 in 11 games. Over that stretch, UW has shot a paltry 38.8% from the floor. For the season, the Badgers are shooting just 46.5% on 2-point attempts and that ranks 283rd in the country.
  3. Iowa beat Wisconsin 77-62 Feb. 18 in Madison, Wisc. The Hawkeyes outshot the Badgers 51% to 30% in that contest. The victory as a 1.5-point underdog marked the program’s first ATS win over Wisconsin since Jan. 23, 2018. Since 2014, the Badgers are 6-3-1 ATS against the Hawkeyes.

Wisconsin at Iowa: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Iowa 75, Wisconsin 67

Money line (ML)

Iowa’s offense is certainly deserving of much credit, but the Hawkeyes defense has been solid of late as well. In its last eight games, UI has held foes under a 45% effective field-goal mark five times. That stretch includes holding Wisconsin to a 39.3% figure Feb. 18.

The Hawkeyes are a likable 75% proposition in this key, down-the-stretch home game. PASS on this tag, but the line has moved toward the Badgers Sunday morning. Iowa at -275 or better would be worth a look.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Badgers are 0-6 ATS against teams playing at least .600 ball. The Hawkeyes are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 Sunday games.

The Iowa advantage from beyond the arc, the free-throw line, and in rebounding makes for value for IOWA -7.5 (-105).

Over/Under (O/U)

The Under is 4-2 in UW’s last six games and 7-1 in UI’s last eight. The public doesn’t seem to be on to Iowa’s improved defense.

BACK THE UNDER 144.5 (-110).
