Wheel of Fortune contestant gave a terrible answer to a food-related puzzle

Oh no!

Move over “right in the butt.”

Step this way, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.”

Because we’ve got a brand new bad guess on a Wheel of Fortune puzzle. Most of the letters were filled in on this: NE_  _OR_  _HEESE_A_E. The clue is Food and Drink, and right away, I knew it.

Did you?

It’s NEW YORK CHEESECAKE. But this poor contestant will now be remembered for guessing “NEW YORK CHEESTEAK.” Actually, it was more like “NEW. YORK. CHEESE … STEAK?”

This is the best new meme.

Will the Wheel of Fortune contestant who made one of the worst guesses in the game show’s history might actually have brought some joy to the world.

Because saying “Treat yourself a round of sausage” when the answer to the puzzle was “Give yourself a round of applause” was so good. It was delicious (no pun intended, OK maybe not) and fun and of course it then became a meme.

Wheel of Fortune contestant Will gave the greatest wrong answer ever

Alright, this might be the greatest wrong answer in Wheel of Fortune history.

Plenty of Wheel of Fortune contestants have gotten puzzles wrong (remember the NSFW answer?) on the long-running game show, but this one might take the cake.

During Monday night’s episode, contestant Will got his chance to solve a puzzle on the board for a phrase.

The real answer was “Give yourself a round of applause,” but Will found something even more wonderful in the puzzle.

His answer was, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.”

Of course, Will got the “wrong” buzzer as fellow contestant Kitina solved it an answer later. New show host Ryan Seacrest looked a bit bewildered by Will’s answer at first, but he eventually caved to how hilarious it was.

“Although, Will, I kind of like yours better,” Seacrest told Will, who at least looked pleased with himself for giving such an epic solution to the puzzle. “That sounds better than just clapping right now.”

Will didn’t solve the puzzle, but he won America’s laughter in the process.

Wheel of Fortune’s new set has fans unhappy about all the changes

Fans aren’t happy about the new set.

The changes to Wheel of Fortune didn’t just include a new host in Ryan Seacrest.

There’s a new set for the longtime game show that’s kind of a shoutout to the sets from back in the day. And as far as we can tell, there’s a lot of backlash about it.

You can see the tour of it below thanks to Maggie Sajak (Pat’s daughter) and some of the comments on Instagram show how some fans feel.

But the designer of it has responded. Per People, here’s James Pearse Connelly: “Everybody’s reluctant to change. That’s just normal. … You kind of prepare for that in a way, and when it was brought up to me that this would happen, and that the fanbase is so loyal to the show — that’s natural.”

A Wheel of Fortune ‘bankruptcy’ run was so wacky that Ryan Seacrest asked Vanna White for advice

“What is going on? Please help me!”

A segment on Wheel of Fortune was so bad that host Ryan Seacrest and the contestants were in disbelief.

Footage of a recent episode of the long-standing show has surfaced online, and it might be one of the wildest sequences in Wheel of Fortune history. The category was facial features, and while contestsants got off to a great start, they quickly ran into trouble. It all went downhill so unbelievably fast.

There were five total “bankrupt” spins — including three consecutive tries —  and EVEN two “lose a turn” spins during ONE attempt to progress through a puzzle. I’M NOT KIDDING. In such disbelief, Ryan Seacrest cried out to Vanna White for help to stop the madness. The whole thing was pretty hysterical, and you have to watch it to believe it.

Ryan Seacrest made his anticipated Wheel of Fortune debut as the game show’s new host

It’s officially Ryan Seacrest time on Wheel of Fortune.

Ryan Seacrest finally made his Wheel of Fortune debut on Monday night, joined by show legend Vanna White as he walked onto the show stage.

Seacrest replaces longtime show host Pat Sajak, who retired from the program earlier this year.

While it’s a bit surreal to see Seacrest hosting the show instead of Sajak, the veteran television personality did just fine in his first Wheel of Fortune episode.

We’re sure he’ll settle even more into the job as time goes on as he keeps the wheel spinning for game show contestants on weeknights across the globe.

Is Vanna White unhappy with Ryan Seacrest on Wheel of Fortune? Everything that’s been reported so far

What’s going on at Wheel of Fortune?

There’s already been some drama on Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak saying farewell to the game show he’s hosted for decades, with the legendary Ryan Seacrest taking the helm.

But now, there are some reports floating around that the similarly legendary Vanna White is unhappy with Seacrest, which would be really bad for the transition to a new host. Let’s fill you in on the reports.

There was this from the Daily Mail: “An insider told DailyMail.com that White is finding it so difficult to ‘jibe’ with the American Idol host, 49, that she is considering exiting the show before her two year contract ends in 2026.”

Of course it might be hard to adjust to a new host, one who she doesn’t have that rapport with.

There’s been no official word from White herself. Her most recent Instagram post paid tribute to the late Willie Mays:

Vanna White delivered a very sweet farewell to Pat Sajak ahead of his final Wheel of Fortune episode

Vanna White gave a very moving farewell message to Pat Sajak ahead of his final Wheel of Fortune show.

With longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak stepping away from his hosting duties, his longtime screen partner Vanna White delivered a very poignant farewell to the game show legend.

Sajak and White have been together on Wheel of Fortune for more than four decades, as the two are synonymous for the long-running game show and the televised format at large.

On the show’s YouTube page, White gave her official farewell to Sajak, and you can imagine it’s a pretty powerful expression of gratitude after the two game show icons have been working alongside each other for so long.

It’s pretty moving to watch this when you think about their cumulative legacies on the show.

Sajak’s final Wheel of Fortune episode airs Friday, with White slated to be right by his side for his final broadcast. Longtime television personality Ryan Seacrest is slated to take over for Sajak after he leaves the program.

Take a trip behind the Wheel of Fortune puzzle board with Pat Sajak as his final week hosting begins.

It’s the final week of Pat Sajak’s decades-long career hosting Wheel of Fortune, with Ryan Seacrest poised to take over. So maybe he’s happy to open up the cameras to show some behind-the-scenes stuff as the end nears.

Thanks to his daughter, Maggie, we got a little look at what’s behind the big board that we look at night after night. It’s a lot of backstage stuff, like Pat’s water bottles, a lot of TVs, a clock and folks who are working on the show … including, as far as I can see, Vanna White!
