Cowboys Inactives: Tyron Smith officially in, Browns Vernon to play

The seven-time Pro Bowler is back in action for Dallas ahead of a tough matchup.

The Dallas Cowboys will have their left tackle back in a crucial matchup with one of the game’s best pass rushers. A day after losing La’el Collins for the season, Tyron Smith will put the uniform back on for the first time since Week 1, allowing Dallas to at least have one of their stalwarts to face off against Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns.

Dallas has announced their inactives list for the week and Smith is not on it. The Cowboys will have four active tackles for the game, with Brandon Knight, Terence Steele and Eric Smith available as well. Dallas will also have promising UDFA linebacker Francis Bernard active, after he was elevated to the active roster on Friday. It will be interesting to see if the youngster from Utah will see any defensive action, or just play on special teams.

Last week, Joe Thomas and Jaylon Smith played all of the defensive snaps.

As for the Browns, most of their questionable guys will give it a go, including defenders Olivier Vernon and Denzel Ward.
