Washington State at Oregon picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 36, Washington State 31

Moneyline

The Cougars have lost 2 straight games and scored a combined 23 points in those losses. Oregon has scored no fewer than 33 points in a game this season.

It appears highly unlikely Washington State will pull off the outright upset and betting a moneyline at -1100 is not worth the risk.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Ducks have covered the spread in every game this season. Four of their 5 wins have been by at least 36 points.

Oregon has won the last 4 meetings with the Cougars but has not won by more than 14 points in those victories.

Conference games are unpredictable. I expect a bounce-back game from Washington State to be competitive, but ultimately losing. You have to take the points here.

BET WASHINGTON STATE +20.5 (-115).

Over/Under

The last 4 meetings of the 2 teams, and 8 of the last 10, have had totals of more than 61 points.

Four of Oregon’s 6 games have surpassed this week’s projected total.

BET OVER 61.5 (-105).

Washington State at Oregon odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Washington State at Oregon odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Washington State Cougars (5-4, 4-2 Pac-12) visit the No. 6 Oregon Ducks (8-1, 5-1) Saturday at the Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Colorado vs. UCLA odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

The Cougars won at Arizona State by a 34-21 score as 16.5-point underdogs, covering for the sixth consecutive outing. Washington State inched within one game of a bowl spot, which is a miracle in this topsy-turvy season that saw Todd Rolovich dismissed as head coach due to his refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Ducks won 26-16 at Washington last week to cover a seven-point number in its fourth straight win since an overtime loss at Stanford Oct. 2. Oregon is still just 2-5 ATS across the past seven outings overall.

Washington State at Oregon odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 33, Washington State 22

Money line

Oregon (-550) will win this game to keep its hopes alive at a CFP spot, but laying five-and-a-half times your potential return is just foolish.

PASS, and play the number instead.

Against the spread

WASHINGTON STATE +13.5 (-107) has had quite a resurgence lately, rallying around each other during this trying season. The Cougs have covered six in a row, with three of the past four coming in one-score games.

Oregon -13.5 (-115) is going to win, and might even get it done by double digits. But the Ducks have had struggles against the Cougars over the years, going just 1-10 ATS in the previous 11 meetings, while failing to cover each of the past five at home against Wazzu.

Over/Under

The UNDER 57.5 (-110) is the lean in this one, hitting in six of the past seven games overall for Washington State. The Under is also 4-1 in the past five games on the road for the Cougars.

The Under is 4-1 in the past five for Oregon against teams with a winning record. While the Over has cashed on a regular basis in this series. The teams have been trending to the Under, and we’ll get another Under result here.
