Washington’s 24-10 defeat at the Green Bay Packers in Week 7 marked its third consecutive loss. WFT actually led the game in time of possession (32:54 to 27:06) and outgained the Packers 430 to 304 in total yards but was plagued by inefficiencies on fourth down and in the red zone. Washington failed to come away with a single point from four trips inside Green Bay’s 20-yard line and turned the ball over three times on downs.

QB Taylor Heinicke tossed for 268 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception on 25-for-37 passing and also led the team with 95 yards on 10 carries. WR Terry McLaurin picked up 122 receiving yards on 7 catches from 12 targets.

Denver also took a loss in Week 7 as it was defeated 17-14 on the road at the Cleveland Browns in the Thursday night game. The Broncos were held off the scoresheet through the entirety of the first half and were dominated in time of possession throughout the game. The Broncos also struggled to get their ground game going as they finished with just 41 rushing yards to the Browns’ 182.

The Broncos have dropped four straight games straight up and against the spread since opening the season 3-0 SU/ATS. Washington has dropped back-to-back games as its scored just 23 combined points against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Packers.

The Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) and Washington Football Team (2-3) meet Sunday in Week 6 for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at FedEx Field. Below, we look at the Chiefs vs. Washington odds and lines; check back for our NFL picks and predictions.

In quite a turnaround from their AFC Championship Game win over the Buffalo Bills last season, the Chiefs were smoked at home 38-20 by the Bills in Week 5’s Sunday Night Football game. Kansas City, which was a 2.5-point favorites, suffered a third loss in the last four games.

The defense was mostly at fault, allowing 30 or more points for a fourth consecutive game and yielding 436 total yards (315 passing, 121 rushing). K.C. led 10-7 with 10 minutes to go in the second quarter but was outscored 17-3 before halftime. The Chiefs never threatened the rest of the way and lost RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire to a knee injury in the second half.

Washington lost at home, 33-22, to the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. Washington, which was a 2.5-point underdog, led 13-7 early in the second quarter, but the defense gave up 2 touchdowns before the half, including a 49-yard Hail Mary as time expired to fall behind 20-13.

Washington, which couldn’t get any closer than a 20-16 deficit, outgained New Orleans 373 to 369 yards and had more first downs (26 to 18) in the loss. QB Taylor Heinicke finished with 248 passing yards with 0 TDs and 2 interceptions.

Kansas City leads the all-time series 9-1.

They last faced off in 2017 with Kansas City rolling to a 29-20 victory at home as a 6.5-point favorite.

That total marks the Saints’ highest in a loss since Dec. 30, 2018 (184 yards in 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers).

Washington returns home after a 34-30 triumph at the Atlanta Falcons. Washington rallied from an 8-point deficit with four minutes remaining in that game.
