American soccer fans react to Christian Pulisic beefing it during a TikTok video

The American soccer star fell hard during a TikTok, causing USMNT and Chelsea fans to hold their breath.

Christian Pulisic is, like many of us, on quarantine and looking for a way to fill the hours. As a young person, the Chelsea and USMNT star decided to get on Tik Tok. As someone who’s very good at soccer, he decided to post himself juggling a soccer ball.

And that’s when everything got very scary. At least for U.S. and Chelsea fans.

In the middle of a move, Pulisic caught the ball under his foot and went flying down.

American soccer and Chelsea fans held their breath. Pulisic made a grimace … checked things out … then smiled. Disaster was averted. We live to fight another day.

Pulisic was just about to come back from injury when global soccer shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans were … rightfully a bit afraid watching the video.

Chicago aquarium closed due to coronavirus, so staff let the penguins roam free

This is the video we all need during these trying times.

The Chicago Aquarium closed this week due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, a strain of the coronavirus. That is sad.

What is happy is what the Aquarium staff members did the only sensible thing you can do in that situation — they let the penguins out and (while supervised) let them roam around the aquarium and check things out.

It was everything I wanted it to be and more. This video has steadied me during uncertain times. It has provided me a sense of calm at a time when anxiety is running high. It is penguins roaming around a zoo, and let it wash over you:

In Spain, a fitness instructor holds roof workout to beat coronavirus lockdown

In Sevilla, a fitness instructor climbed onto a roof to lead a workout for people who were locked down for coronavirus.

In “socially responsible ways to stay in shape during a pandemic” news this week, a fitness instructor held “class” by going up on a roof and leading a workout, while people participated from their balconies.

Much of Spain is currently on lockdown. To stop the spread of COVID-19, a strain of coronavirus, 47 million Spaniards were told to remain at home.

Fitness group Sano Sevilla Los Bermejale shared the following video to their Instagram page. In the video, a personal trainer named Gonzalo climbs up on a rooftop and leads neighbors in a fitness routine. People got involved, stayed fit, and didn’t come close enough to anyone to spread the disease.

This is fantastic.

May we all find ways to stay healthy and safe moving forward.

Watch Mark Cuban the moment he learned the NBA had suspended season

The NBA announced it was suspending its season due to a player testing positive for coronavirus. Watch as Mark Cuban learned.

The basketball world was rocked on Wednesday evening when the NBA announced it was suspending its season following a player on the Utah Jazz testing positive for COVID-19, a strain of coronavirus. The Jazz were scheduled to play the Thunder this evening, but the game was postponed before tip-off and fans sent home.

That wasn’t true of every game in the NBA on Wednesday night, however. Several games were already well underway at the time of the announcement, making the entire thing even more surreal.

The Dallas Mavericks were one of those teams. In the middle of a game against the Denver Nuggets, the news broke, and cameras cut to Mavericks owner Mark Cuban as he appeared to look down at his phone and get the news.

Cuban’s surprise sure makes it seem that the league made this decision without the knowledge of at least one owner.

Eamon’s Corner: Welcome to the Florida swing, let the carnage continue

Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch discusses the challenge ahead on the Florida swing and the enjoyment fans have watching pros play difficult holes.

[jwplayer 95tUs7b3-9JtFt04J]

One of the shared pleasures of being a golf fan is appreciating the world’s finest players hitting shots we can only dream of.

A more secret pleasure, one we don’t often talk about and in respectable company is the sheer delight seeing those same players be humbled in a way we can all relate to.

Welcome to the Florida swing.

Following Honda Classic, the 21st stop on the PGA tour schedule this season, and its infamous Bear Trap, the rest of the season’s events will do whatever it takes to stand out on the crowded calendar.

There aren’t as many holes that wreak havoc at the Arnold Palmer Invitational as there were at the Honda Classic, but the next week during the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, the carnage begins anew.

It’s not a noble sentiment, but it is what it is.

Check out the latest edition of Eamon’s Corner.

Will Tiger Woods play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational? Who won last week’s professional tournaments? We discusses on Golfweek Rewind.

[jwplayer kWYQE367-9JtFt04J]

Tiger Woods is out for a third straight week, Rory McIlroy commits to an event he controversially skipped last year and Brandon Matthews is honored for an act of kindness that went viral.

Take a look at the week’s top stories on the latest episode of Golfweek Rewind.

Top stories

Tiger Woods will not compete at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, marking three consecutive events the 82-time Tour winner has missed. Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg confirmed to our Steve DiMeglio that Woods will not play at Bay Hill due to continued back stiffness.

Rory McIlroy has committed to the 2020 Irish Open, one year after he controversially skipped the event. McIlroy won the Irish Open in 2016. Here are the details surrounding why McIlroy skipped last year’s event and what makes this year different.

Brandon Matthews is our Unforgettable Person of the Week because of last season’s act of kindness that rippled into 2020. Last season Matthews was in a playoff to win the Visa Open de Argentina when a fan with Down syndrome made a loud noise, causing Matthews to miss a putt to extend the playoff. Matthews demonstrated kindness in the midst of his disappointment. The Arnold Palmer Invitational chose to honor that kindness this week at Bay Hill.

Professional golf recap

PGA: Sungjae Im earned his first PGA Tour victory Sunday at the Honda Classic by one shot. Next up on Tour is the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando.

Euro Tour: Sami Valimaki won his first European Tour victory after a three-hole playoff Sunday the Oman Open. The European Tour season continues with the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters beginning Thursday.

More information on these top stories, how the coronavirus might affect the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and what’s up next on the European and PGA Tours can be found in the latest edition of Golfweek Rewind, featured above.

Fury – Wilder 2 highlights: See Tyson Fury’s TKO of Deontay Wilder

See all the highlights from Tyson Fury’s seventh-round TKO of Deontay Wilder.

Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King, avenged the previous showdown between the two and handed Deontay Wilder the first loss of his boxing career late on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

It was a comprehensive victory for Fury, and a disappointing loss for Wilder, who was never able to connect on one of his massive right hands. Fury scored a (somewhat) controversial knockdown in the third round, then knocked Wilder down again in the fifth. Wilder continued on gamely for two more rounds, but appeared unable to keep his feet under him at times.

In the seventh, with Wilder bleeding from his ear and getting pummeled in the corner, his corner finally threw in the towel, ending the fight.

[lawrence-related id=896956]

Despite Fury’s dominance, boxing fans stayed transfixed on the fight because Wilder’s ability to take someone down with one punch meant he was always in the fight. This time, however, Fury kept Wilder at bay, and no massive punch ever came.

See full highlights from the fight below:

NBA Rising Stars were asked about the ’90s and their answers will make you feel so, so old

Prepare to feel ancient.

Revisiting ’90s nostalgia has, for many years, been an easy way to score internet points or drum up some conversation on a bad date. Nothing in common? You can always talk about Legends of the Hidden Temple. “Hey, I also loved that show!”

But, as always, the slow march of time goes on, and for young people now, that nostalgia is absolutely meaningless. Why would anyone under the age of 22 know what Full House is?

At the NBA All-Star weekend in Chicago, ESPN leaned into this, talking with members of the NBA Rising Stars game about the great decade of the ’90s. They do … poorly. It’s infuriating, but then you realize that Tyler Herro and RJ Barrett were both born in the year 2000, and it all makes sense. It’s sad, but it makes sense.

Someone get Herro a copy of Supa Dupa Fly, though. Please.
