Ever have one of those moments where you panic and nothing seems to go right? Trey Palmer nearly had one of those instances Saturday night against South Carolina. Fortunately for LSU, Palmer managed to rebound quickly and give the Tigers a special teams touchdown.
Palmer mishandled a kickoff from South Carolina early in the third quarter, after the Gamecocks scored to cut into the LSU lead. Palmer collected himself, and the football, and then wiggled through some special teams traffic before streaking down the left side of the sideline.

If you were wondering the last time LSU returned a kickoff for a touchdown in Tiger Stadium, you were not alone. It turns out it was quite some time ago.
The last kickoff return #LSU had for a touchdown in Tiger Stadium?

Eric Martin returned a kickoff for a score back on Oct. 17, 1981 against Kentucky. So, you might say Try Parker did something that hasn’t been done in generations of LSU football. Soak it all in now, because who knows if it will be another 40 years before it happens again.
Parker’s touchdown return gave LSU a 38-17 lead on the Gamecocks and added to the handful of highlights already witnessed Saturday evening in Baton Rouge.
