The USMNT battles Uruguay in their final Copa America group stage match Monday. Kickoff from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is set for 9 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the USMNT vs. Uruguay odds, and make our best soccer bets, picks and predictions.
The USMNT may not have to have a win, but to advance, it will more than likely need some type of result Monday. It beat Bolivia 2-0 to kick off its Copa America play then lost 2-1 to Panama in a match in which F Timothy Weah received an 18th-minute red card. The USMNT came into Copa America having been destroyed by Colombia 5-1 and then drawing Brazil 1-1, 2 drastically different performances in its June friendlies. It is led by F Christian Pulisic, who plays for AC Milan and has 30 goals in 70 caps.
Uruguay leads the group and has almost certainly already locked up the top spot in Group C. It has looked dominant, scoring 8 goals through 2 matches and allowing just 1. It beat Panama 3-1 and then Bolivia 5-0. Liverpool F Darwin Nunez is among the lethal attackers in Copa America and scored in both group stage matches so far. Uruguay sits 14th in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking, while the USMNT is 11th.

USMNT vs. Uruguay picks and predictions
Prediction
USMNT 1, Uruguay 1
Moneyline (ML)
BET DRAW (+220).
The USMNT has the home-field advantage in what should be a rocking Arrowhead Stadium. It scored while down a man on Panama and took down Bolivia. It has a competent roster, one that should compete with a red-hot Uruguay side.
Also, this could be a look-ahead spot for Uruguay, as they’ve already secured a spot in the next round and may not play a star like Nunez the full 90 to ensure he’s more rested for the knockout stage.
The USMNT drew Brazil on June 12 and beat Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League final on March 24. It has a solid roster that should be able to compete and get some result. Against a team playing as well as Uruguay, expect 1 point, not 3 here.
For the value, take DRAW (+220).
Over/Under (O/U)
BET UNDER 2.5 (-146).
When with 11 players, the USMNT has a strong backline. It has held Bolivia scoreless with few real opportunities. In that high-profile game against Mexico, it held El Tri scoreless and allowed just 1 in a friendly to Brazil as well. Similarly, the USMNT has scored 5 goals in its last 4 games and will be facing an opponent which has allowed 1 goal through 2 matches.
Uruguay hasn’t played a strong backline yet, so those 8 goals it has scored should be somewhat discredited a bit. It went under this total in all three 2022 World Cup group stage games. Expect something like that, not like its first few games in Copa America.
Back UNDER 2.5 (-146).
