The No. 12 USC Trojans (2-0) travel to Ann Arbor to face the 17th-ranked Michigan Wolverines (2-1) at Michigan Stadium Saturday. Kickoff for this Big Ten opener for both programs is at 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at USC vs. Michigan odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

The Trojans, who just enjoyed a bye week, are off to a strong start — both on the field and for bettors. They opened with a 27-20 win over LSU on a neutral field in Las Vegas, covering the spread as 4-point underdogs as the Under (66) cashed. They followed with a 48-0 shutout of Utah State as 31-point home favorites — the Under (64) hit in this one, too. The RB duo of Woody Marks and Quinten Joyner combined for 187 yards and 3 TDs vs. Utah State. The Trojans will look to keep the momentum going on this trip to Ann Arbor — their 1st Big Ten game since joining the conference.

Michigan is off to a bumpy start. Following a tough 31-12 home loss to now-No. 1 Texas, the Wolverines bounced back with a 28-18 win over Arkansas State Saturday. They didn’t cover the 21.5-point spread and Under (45.5) hit. The Wolverines led 28-3 before allowing 15 fourth-quarter points. QB Davis Warren completed 11 of 14 passes for 122 yards but with no TDs and 3 interceptions. A bright spot was the RB duo of Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards, who combined for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns.

USC vs. Michigan head-to-head

The programs have met 10 times with USC holding a 6-4 advantage, including a 5-2 mark in Rose Bowls.

Their first meeting was in the 1948 Rose Bowl when a 2nd-ranked Michigan squad rolled to a 49-0 rout against an 8th-ranked USC team. The Wolverines swept a home-and-away series in 1957 and ’58 — winning 16-6 in Ann Arbor and 20-9 in Los Angeles.

Between 1970 and 2007, they faced off in 7 Rose Bowls with Michigan’s lone win (22-14) in that stretch coming in 1989.

USC has won the last 3 matchups with the most recent being a 32-18 victory in the 2007 Rose Bowl. The then-8th-ranked Trojans were 1.5-point underdogs against the then-No. 3 Wolverines and the Over (46.5) cashed.
