UNLV continues a rough travel stretch with this game in Colorado. The Rebels played at San Diego State Monday and were at San Jose State and Air Force Jan. 17 and Jan. 20. UNLV went 1-2 over those road games and is 1-6 away from home overall.

Colorado State leads the Mountain West in scoring with 78.5 points per contest, but it’s been solid defense and rebounding leading to success lately. CSU lost its only game of the season Jan. 8 at SDSU. The Rams are 5-0 with an average rebounding edge of plus-8.0 and have held foes to a 40.8% mark from the field since that loss.

UNLV at Colorado State odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Colorado State 75, UNLV 66

Money line

The Rams are the better shooting team, but they are down a couple of ticks with recent numbers from beyond the arc. They are perhaps a bit over-reliant from distance but are shooting just 31.2% on 3s since Jan. 4.

A veteran Rebels five does well to take care of the ball and figures as a better-than-15% choice to win this one outright. UNLV does have some injury questions, so consider a partial-unit play on UNLV (+600) for large value if they pull off an upset.

Against the spread

CSU is just 5-6 ATS at home. The Underdog is 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings between UNLV and CSU.

Nevada-Las Vegas figures as a below-average shooting team but one with room for growth in that area. Expect a decent bounce-back effort after an 80-55 loss at SDSU Monday.

TAKE UNLV +13.5 (-115).

Over/Under

PASS: too many cross signals to parse.
