In one of two MLS games Thursday, the Philadelphia Union (5 wins, 3 losses, 4 draws) travel to take on the New York Red Bulls (5-5-1) at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we preview the Philadelphia Union vs. New York Red Bulls odds and lines, and make our best MLS bets, picks and predictions.
The Union are coming off a 1-0 road loss to Nashville SC and are 1-1-1 pver their last three matches. While they out-possessed their opponent in the last two games, it hasn’t translated to wins.
Philadelphia, sitting 3rd in the Eastern Conference, will have a tough battle ahead against the seventh-place Red Bulls. New York won three of its last five games.

Prediction
Philadelphia Union 1, New York Red Bulls 1
Money line (ML)
BET on the UNION TO WIN OR A DRAW (-165) because they have played more consistent soccer this season.
Philadelphia has the third-best save percentage and fifth-most interceptions in MLS. While it gave up 3 goals to the Chicago Fire in the match before Nashville, the Union held three of their last six opponents without a goal.
Both sides are well suited to play a great 90 minutes, and I think Philadelphia can either come out on top or, at the very least, hang with New York.

Over/Under (O/U)
BET on the UNDER (+105) as the best value bet in this match.
Despite having 18-year-old MF Caden Clark and 21-year-old F Cristian Cásseres Jr. on the roster, New York will have trouble scoring when facing a challenging defense that has given up just 11 goals on the season.
The Red Bulls hit the Under in five of their last nine games. With the Union’s track record of holding down opponents, they hit the Under in seven of their last 10 matches.
Both teams score inconsistently, and the difference-maker will be the Union’s defense. At this value, it’s worth the risk.
