Broncos announce uniform combo for preseason game vs. Packers

After wearing white jerseys and white pants last week, the Broncos will wear white jerseys with orange pants this week.

The Denver Broncos broke out their new uniforms for the first time in their preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts last week.

The Broncos wore their primary road white jersey with white pants and their primary blue helmet, a look that received mostly positive reviews from fans. This week, Denver will wear the white jersey at home with orange pants, the team announced on Thursday.

The Broncos have already announced their jersey schedule for every game this season, but the pants are picked by players the week of each game. Denver opted to wear white jerseys for both preseason home games, presumably because of the August heat.

The Broncos will also wear a white jersey at home when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2, an early September game.

After wearing white pants in their first preseason game and orange pants this week, it wouldn’t be surprising if Denver breaks out blue pants for a preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals next week.

The Broncos’ next two preseason games will be nationally televised.

Broncos will wear new alternate white helmet in 2 games this season

The Broncos will wear their white alternate helmet against the Jets (Week 5) and against the Patriots (Week 16; Christmas Eve) this season.

The Denver Broncos will wear alternate uniforms at least two times during the 2023 NFL season, the team announced Thursday.

The Broncos will wear their new white alternate helmet. in a pair of Color Rush games this fall. Their first Color Rush game will be a Week 5 showdown with the New York Jets on Oct. 8.

The club’s second Color Rush game will be against the New England Patriots in a Christmas Eve game in Week 16. That Dec. 24 game will be nationally televised on NFL Network.

The Broncos typically wear an alternate uniform three times during a season. Denver has not yet announced a potential third alternate game which would presumably feature their alternate blue jersey.

The Broncos unveiled their original Color Rush uniform in 2016. The team went 3-4 wearing the all-orange alternate uniform with a navy blue helmet. Going forward, the team’s Color Rush games will now feature the club’s new alternate white helmet.

Denver will open the 2023 season at home against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sept. 10. The Broncos have four prime-time games on their schedule.

Broncos scheduled to wear alternate uniforms vs. Chiefs

The Broncos are scheduled to wear alternate blue jerseys against the Chiefs this week.

When the Denver Broncos announced their 2022 uniform schedule in November, it included three games with alternate jerseys: blue in Week 3, orange Color Rush in Week 11 and blue in Week 14.

Typically, the Broncos run a campaign on social media promoting an alternate uniform the week leading up to an alternate game. Denver has not done that this week. Either the team isn’t continuing its social media trend, or the uniform schedule was changed unannounced.

Until told otherwise, we’re assuming the alternate navy blue uniforms are still set to be worn against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The game was originally scheduled as a Sunday Night Football matchup, but the NFL flexed it to the late afternoon window last week.

The Broncos are 1-1 in full alternate uniforms this season and 1-1 in modified uniforms (white jerseys with blue pants, which was worn twice this season). Dating back to the 2020 season, Denver is 1-7 in full alternates.
