UFC Vegas 48: Parker Porter vs. Alan Baudot odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC Vegas 48 odds and lines between Parker Porter vs. Alan Baudot, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a heavyweight fight on the main card, Parker Porter and Alan Baudot meet Saturday at UFC Vegas 48 – also known as UFC Fight Night 201 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC Vegas 48: Porter vs. Baudot odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m.

The 36-year-old Porter heads into this fight as the hefty favorite, literally and figuratively. He does give up three inches in height and four inches in reach but he makes up for it with experience.

The former Bellator fighter is 2-1 at the UFC level, getting dropped by Chris Daukaus in his debut at UFC 252, but rebounding for a pair of unanimous-decision wins against Josh Parisian and Chase Sherman.

Baudot is still searching for his first UFC victory, losing via KO/TKO in Round 1 against Tom Aspinall in his debut, while his fight against Rodrigo Nascimento resulted in a Round 2 no-decision last time out in July. He was dropped by Nascimento, and on his way to a loss, but the result was changed to a no-decision after his counterpart failed a post-fight drug test.

UFC Vegas 48 Porter vs. Baudot: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Porter (12-6-0) | Baudot (8-2-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Baudot (+210) hasn’t looked good in his two fights at the UFC level, while Porter (-280) has been technically sound, but not terribly overwhelming to date. Neither can be trusted straight up.

Instead, take a chance on PORTER BY KO/TKO (+125) for the method of victory. Each of Baudot’s two professional losses has come via KO/TKO, including his UFC debut against the Briton Aspinall. He should be 0-2 with the company, and he is on his way to another setback Saturday.

Over/Under (O/U)

Play No (-260): Fight to go the distance is just too expensive, especially since Porter is entering with a pair of decision wins in his past two showings.

Instead, consider PORTER TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+420) and PORTER TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+1100) for a much higher payout. Yes, betting a two-round block means you will have at least one losing ticket, even if Porter gets the job done in Rounds 2-3. However, you will also be very far ahead if that result comes through.

UFC Vegas 48: Kyle Daukaus vs. Jamie Pickett odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC Vegas 48 odds and lines between Kyle Daukaus vs. Jamie Pickett, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a catch weight fight on the main card, Kyle Daukaus and Jamie Pickett meet Saturday at UFC Vegas 48 – also known as UFC Fight Night 201 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC Vegas 48: Daukaus vs. Pickett odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m.

Daukaus is coming off a no-contest against Kevin Holland last time out at UFC Fight Night 193 in Oct. Daukaus appeared to win via submission against Holland, but after further review, an accidental headbutt left Holland in disarray, and the victory was overturned.

The pair were expected to met in November, but Holland tapped out of that due to injury. Roman Dolidze was expected to fight in place of Holland, but he then pulled out, too.

Daukaus was expected to face Julian Marquez, but the latter pulled out due to an undisclosed reason, so Pickett steps in on short notice.

Pickett, a.k.a. “The Night Wolf”, has posted a pair of unanimous-decision wins against Laureano Staropoli and Joseph Holmes, but a fight against Daukaus, particularly on short notice, is a huge step up in competition.

UFC Vegas 48 Daukaus vs. Pickett: Odds and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:06 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Daukaus -300 (bet $300 to win $100) | Pickett +225 (bet $100 to win $225)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -125 | No -110)

UFC Vegas 48 Daukaus vs. Pickett: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Daukaus (10-2-0) | Pickett (13-6-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Daukaus (-300) is a heavy favorite, costing you three times your potential return against Pickett. While Daukaus looks like a slam-dunk winner, it’s still just too risky for such a small return.

Instead, look to Method of Victory. While Daukaus has yet to tap an opponent at the UFC level, finishing with three unanimous decisions (2-1) and a no-contest, he showed what he can do against Holland. The southpaw likes to go to the canvas, and Pickett is susceptible to the submission, and is likely to be ill-prepared after just learning of his opponent within the past 10 days.

Take DAUKAUS BY SUBMISSION (+245) on the Method of Victory wager for the best bet.

Over/Under (O/U)

Play NO (-110): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE for the win, with the submission expected.

In addition, it might take a little time for Daukaus to get the job done. Play a two-round block with DAUKAUS TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+570) and DAUKAUS TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+950). If he gets the job done in Rounds 2-3, yes, you will lose one of the ends. However, you will also be quite a bit ahead leading into the main event.

UFC Vegas 48: Jamahal Hill vs. Johnny Walker odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC Vegas 48 odds and lines between Jamahal Hill vs. Johnny Walker, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight fight in the main event, Jamahal Hill and Johnny Walker meet Saturday at UFC Vegas 48 — also known as UFC Fight Night 201 — at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC Vegas 48: Walker vs. Hill odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims starting at 4 p.m. ET and the main card at 7 p.m.

Hill takes the walk to the octagon for the sixth time at the UFC level. He is coming off a 48-second Round 1 knockout of Jimmy Crute last time out on the Font-Aldo card Dec. 4. Each of his last four fights has ended in Round 2 or earlier, with two wins via KO/TKO and one loss by way of knockout across the past three.

The southpaw Hill has managed 7.45 significant strikes landed per minute, although Walker is much more pinpoint with a 66.16 to 52.17 edge in significant strikes accuracy percentage.

Walker has dropped three of his last four fights, including a unanimous-decision loss to Thiago Santos last time out in the main event Oct. 2. His only victory since March 2019 is a KO/TKO in Round 1 against Ryan Spann in Sept. 2020.

Walker holds a three-inch reach advantage and is two inches taller than his counterpart.

UFC Vegas 48 Hill vs. Walker: Odds and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 7:37 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Hill -240 (bet $240 to win $100) | Walker +180 (bet $100 to win $180)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +290 | No -475)

UFC Vegas 48 Hill vs. Walker: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Hill (9-1-0) | Walker (18-6-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

The southpaw Hill (-240), a.k.a. “Sweet Dreams”, heads into this fight with a three-inch reach disadvantage. He’ll have to be careful not to get too close early on, letting Walker punch himself out trying to get close to the favorite.

Look for this one to take a little time before the favorite goes in for the kill. Hill doesn’t usually like to go long, and he certainly doesn’t care to leave it in the judges’ hands, nor go to the mat for wins. The best bet is taking HILL BY TKO/KO (-145).

Over/Under (O/U)

Taking No (-475): Fight to go the distance costs more than four and a half times your potential return, and that is just too much risk for not enough reward.

Instead, the better use of your betting buck is to play a two-round block to win. HILL IN ROUND 2 (+470) and HILL IN ROUND 3 (+850) is a solid play. Yes, you’ll lose one of the ends, even if he wins in Rounds 2-3, but you’ll still be quite far ahead.
