Lee fought for the title at UFC 216 against Tony Ferguson and lost, and he has won just twice in five fights since then. He is also 1-3 across the past two, including took a pair of submission losses to Rafael Dos Anjos and Charles Oliveira. He hasn’t fought since March 14, 2020, after a pair of surgeries to repair the ACL in each knee.

Rodriguez walks to the octagon looking for his third consecutive victory. He knocked out Preston Parsons 3:47 into the first round on the Makhachev-Moises card. Since making his debut in the UFC Feb. 15, 2020, he has won five of six fights, including three stoppage wins.

RODRIGUEZ (+115) is a solid value as a short underdog, as you can expect Lee will have quite a bit of rust after a 17-month layoff.

The southpaw Rodriguez enters with a 3-inch reach disadvantage, but he is a punching machine and has an 8.07-to-3.90 significant strikes landed per minute advantage. Rodriguez also enjoys a 4-inch height advantage.

Over/Under (O/U)

After a lengthy layoff, Lee will need to take it easy not to wear himself out early. His cardio could be an issue during the first round or so before he finds his sea legs.

I like YES (-117): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? as a solid bet, as Lee isn’t likely to grab the finish, and Rodriguez has gone the distance in two of his past three bouts.

TURCIOS (-155) is the safe play. He has 11 wins in 13 career professional bouts, and four of his past seven fights have finished inside the distance. However, facing Hiestand is a step up.

You can expect this to be a “Fight of the Night” candidate between two young fighters looking to make a name for themselves.

Over/Under (O/U)

Three of the past five fights for Turcios have ended up needing the assistance of the judges and he won his last two decisions. Hiestand hasn’t gone the distance since Oct. 19, 2018, against Corey Conway at FFC 32 but Turcios will be his most difficult opponent to date.

Playing OVER 2.5 ROUNDS (-200) is a bit on the expensive side, but the best play on the board.

Over/Under (O/U)

You cannot bet No (-350): Will the fight go the distance?, due to low odds and lack of reward.

Instead, look to PETROSKI TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+285) and PETROSKI TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+1000) for a two-round betting block. Yes, you will lose one of those ends if he comes through with a submission win in Rounds 2-3, but you’ll still be quite ahead.

Over/Under (O/U)

Playing NO (-110): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is obviously the play if we’re suggesting Battle by submission. I also like BATTLE TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+600) and BATTLE TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+1100).

You’ll lose one of those plays if he wins in Rounds 2-3 but you’ll also be well ahead if he gets the stoppage in either of those two rounds.

Over/Under (O/U)

This fight isn’t going the distance, but you can’t roll with No (-260): Will the fight go the distance? That’s just too much risk.

Instead, take a two-round block with MURADOV TO WIN IN ROUND 2 (+280) and MURADOV TO WIN IN ROUND 3 (+720). Yes, you’ll lose one of those two ends even if he wins in Rounds 2-3, but you’ll still be well ahead.

Barboza’s previous three fights had gone the distance. He is 3-5 across his last eight outings, although losses against Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Paul Felder and Dan Ige are nothing to be ashamed about.

Chikadze makes the walk to the octagon looking for his seventh victory in as many tries since arriving at the UFC. He is coming off a pair of first-round KO/TKO wins over Jamey Simmons and most recently Cub Swanson in May. However, four of his six fights at the UFC level have gone the distance.

CHIKADZE (+102) is worth the play as a slight underdog in this bout which should put him on the map of even the most casual fan. A win over Barboza would be a nice feather in his cap.

However, don’t expect this win to be easy for the Georgia native who just celebrated his 33rd birthday Wednesday. I also like CHIKADZE ON POINTS (+350) for an added value.

Over/Under (O/U)

Playing YES (+110): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is worth a look if you play Chikadze to win on points. OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (+105) is also worth a look if you believe there could be a late finish in the fifth round.
