UFC on ESPN 24 Ferreira vs. Gillespie: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Ferreira 17-3-0 | Gillespie 13-1-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

The underdog Ferreira (+140) is two inches taller than the favorite Gillespie (-165), while holding a three-inch reach advantage.

While the physical attributes are nice, and Ferreira has a slight advantage in significant strikes landed per minute, Gillespie dominates on the ground. He has 7.02-to-0.89 takedown average advantage, and a 47.92%-26.09% takedown accuracy advantage.

GILLESPIE (-165) is a tremendous option to get the finish, as each of his past six fights ended via stoppages, with five wins and one loss. He is looking to bounce back from a Round 1 knockout loss against Kevin Lee at UFC 244.

GILLESPIE BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+285) on the 5-way line is worth a look for a chance to nearly triple up.

Over/Under (O/U)

Playing UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+145) is easily worth a play, as Gillespie has a good shot at the stoppage. Ferreira won’t go quietly into the night, so don’t get crazy and play Under 1.5 Rounds (+270), as tempting as that might be.

If you want a little extra wiggle room, take NO (+135): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE?

UFC on ESPN 24: Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Maurice Greene odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 24 fight between Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Maurice Greene, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a heavyweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Maurice Greene meet at UFC on ESPN 24 – also known as UFC Vegas 26 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC on ESPN 24 de Lima vs. Greene odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2/ESPN+, with the main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

UFC on ESPN 24 de Lima vs. Greene: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:30 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): De Lima -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Greene +170 (bet $100 to win $170)
  • Over/Under: 1.5 rounds (Over +125 | Under -150)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +300 | No -375)

UFC on ESPN 24 de Lima vs. Greene: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: De Lima 17-8-1 | Greene 9-6-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

The Brazilian de Lima (-200) is a heavy favorite who will cost you two times your potential return. Physically, he is much smaller than his counterpart Greene (+170), entering with a five-inch reach disadvantage and six-inch height disadvantage against the 6-foot-7 American.

De Lima is coming off a submission loss to Alexandr Romanov Nov. 7, 2020. He hasn’t lost consecutive fights in his professional career since Sept. 10, 2011 and April 26, 2012 when he was fighting in the Strikeforce and Shooto companies.

While that doesn’t sound like de Lima is a slam-dunk play, he sounds a lot better with Greene coming off a Round 2 KO/TKO loss to Greg Hardy. Greene lost three of his last four fights and might be fighting for his UFC career. He cannot afford a loss, but it’s coming.

Play DE LIMA BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (-120) on the 5-way line as the best bet.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

There is absolutely no value playing No (-375): Will the fight go the distance? This one should finish by stoppage, but you cannot lay nearly four times your potential return.

I like OVER 1.5 ROUNDS (+125), as I don’t think this one will end until at least the latter part of Round 2, or even Round 3.

UFC on ESPN 24: Geoff Neal vs. Neil Magny odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 24 fight between Geoff Neal and Neil Magny, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Geoff Neal and Neil Magny meet at UFC on ESPN 24 – also known as UFC Vegas 26 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC on ESPN 24 Neal vs. Magny odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

UFC on ESPN 24 Neal vs. Magny: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:25 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Neal -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Magny +165 (bet $100 to win $165)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -160 | Under +135)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -125 | No +105)

UFC on ESPN 24 Neal vs. Magny: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Neal 13-3-0 | Magny 24-9-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Neal (-200) is looking to rebound after a unanimous decision loss to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson Dec. 19, 2020. He had been 5-0 since arriving at the UFC level, including three KO/TKO victories.

Playing Neal straight up is a little steep, but rolling with him on the 5-way line is the play. Take NEAL BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+165) to get the stoppage.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

Taking NO (+105): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is the way to go, as I expect Neal to bounce back with either a knockout or tap. In addition, UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+135) is worth a small-unit play.

If you’re not quite feeling Neal over the veteran Magny, you can simply play the fight finish. KO/TKO/DQ (+125) is a worthwhile play if you don’t want to choose a specific fighter.

UFC on ESPN 24: Donald Cerrone vs. Alex Morono odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 24 fight between Donald Cerrone and Alex Morono, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Donald Cerrone and Alex Morono meet at UFC on ESPN 24 – also known as UFC Vegas 26 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC on ESPN 24 Cerrone vs. Morono odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

UFC on ESPN 24 Cerrone vs. Morono: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:15 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Cerrone -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Morono +170 (bet $100 to win $170)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -200 | Under +165)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -175 | No +145)

UFC on ESPN 24 Cerrone vs. Morono: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Cerrone 36-15-0 | Morono 18-7-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

The veteran “Cowboy” Cerrone (-200) would cost you two times your potential return, but that’s super risky on a guy who hasn’t won in five fights, going 0-4-1. Cerrone’s last win was against Al Iaquinta May 4, 2019.

Still, the past five fights are against Niko Price, Anthony Pettis, Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson, or the who’s who of the division.

I expect Cerrone to get the stoppage, making CERRONE BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+290) a tremendous play on the 5-way line for the chance to nearly triple up.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

Play NO (+145): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? for a nice value. I believe Cowboy gets the stoppage, so you have to play this end, too. UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+165) is an even better value.

If you’re nervous about Cerrone’s 0-4-1 run across the past five fights, you can just choose the fight finish without naming a specific fighter. Roll with KO/TKO/DQ (+330), as I think if there is a stoppage, the chances are greater for a knockout than a submission.

UFC on ESPN 24: Marina Rodriguez vs. Michelle Waterson odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 24 fight between Marina Rodriguez and Michelle Waterson, with MMA odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a women’s flyweight bout on Saturday’s main card, Marina Rodriguez and Michelle Waterson meet at UFC on ESPN 24 – also known as UFC Vegas 26 – at the UFC’s APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Below, we analyze the UFC on ESPN 24 Rodriguez vs. Waterson odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The prelims kick off at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2/ESPN+, with the main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

UFC on ESPN 24 Rodriguez vs. Waterson: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Rodriguez -225 (bet $225 to win $100) | Waterson +175 (bet $100 to win $175)
  • Over/Under: 4.5 rounds (Over -225 | Under +175)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -190 | No +160)

Place all of your legal, online sports bets at BetMGM Sportsbook. Take advantage of this offer and bet now!

UFC on ESPN 24 Rodriguez vs. Waterson: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Rodriguez 13-1-2 | Waterson 18-8-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Rodriguez (-225) stands in as the rather heavy favorite over Waterson (+175), a.k.a. “The Karate Hottie”. The Brazilian fighter stands three inches taller than the American, and Rodriguez also possesses a three-inch reach advantage.

In addition, Rodriguez has a 4.86-to-3.58 significant strikes landed per minute advantage, while Waterson has been a little better in the ground game statistics.

Rodriguez has gone the distance five times in her six fights at the UFC level, while Waterson has gone the distance in seven consecutive bouts with losses in two of her last three.

As such, I like RODRIGUEZ BY DECISION (+120) on the 5-way line.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over 4.5 Rounds (-225) is still a little too expensive for my liking, and there’s not a lot of wiggle room here. Playing YES (-190): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is a little expensive, too, but the better play on the board in terms of fight distance.

Waterson just doesn’t get finishes, and Rodriguez hasn’t been getting them lately, either.
