UFC 267: Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight championship bout in the co-main event, Jan Blachowicz meets Glover Teixeira Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Blachowicz vs. Teixeira odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

Blachowicz enters on a five-bout win streak, including a second-round KO/TKO win over Dominick Reyes at UFC 253 to claim the light heavyweight strap, and a unanimous-decision win over Israel Adesanya to keep the belt at UFC 259.

Five of his previous seven bouts have finished inside the distance, with the past four stoppages coming via KO/TKO (3-1). He also showed his versatility with a submission victory over Nikita Krylov.

The 42-year-old Teixeira likely faces his final chance at a championship belt, and he is a heavy underdog against the Polish-born scrapper. Teixeira has picked up five straight wins, including a third-round submission over Thiago Santos last time out Nov. 7, 2020.

This will be Teixeira’s second-career title fight, and first since a unanimous-decision loss to Jon Jones at UFC 172 in April 2014. He suffered a torn labrum in that bout.

UFC 267 Blachowicz vs. Teixeira: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Blachowicz (28-8-0) | Teixeira (32-7-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Blachowicz and Teixeira have proven you can lose some fights early and work your way into title contention late in your career. The average age of the two fighters is 40, with Blachowicz the spring chicken at 38.

I like Blachowicz to deny Teixeira his much-coveted belt, and I think the Polish fighter gets it done via stoppage, too. BLACHOWICZ BY TKO/KO (+110) is a strong value.

Over/Under (O/U)

While I like the Berkut WCA Fight Team member Blachowicz to get it done with a knockout, it won’t be early. Teixeira has seen the third round in each of his past three fights, and OVER 2.5 ROUNDS (-135) is a good play as a result. However, NO (-205): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is also the play.

In addition, I like a three-round block of BLACHOWICZ IN ROUND 3 (+950), BLACHOWICZ IN ROUND 4 (+1400) and BLACHOWICZ IN ROUND 5 (+2000) for small-unit plays. Yes, if Blachowicz wins in Rounds 3-5, you’ll lose two of the ends, but you will also be quite a bit in the black.

UFC 267: Petr Yan vs. Cory Sandhagen odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Petr Yan vs. Cory Sandhagen, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In an interim bantamweight championship bout in the co-main event, Petr Yan meets Cory Sandhagen Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Yan vs. Sandhagen odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

Yan is looking to bounce back after losing by disqualification with an illegal knee in the fourth round against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 259 March 6. Each of his last three fights have finished inside the distance, and he has posted a 7-1 mark in eight bouts since signing with the UFC. Four of his seven wins have been by way of KO/TKO.

Sandhagen is looking to rebound after a split-decision loss to TJ Dillashaw in the main event July 24. While he is just 2-2 across the past four, setbacks to Dillashaw and Sterling are not bad losses, and KO/TKO wins over Frankie Edgar and Marlon Moraes are quite impressive. Three of his last four bouts have finished inside the distance.

UFC 267 Yan vs. Sandhagen: Odds and lines

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:25 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Yan -240 (bet $240 to win $100) | Sandhagen +180 (bet $100 to win $180)
  • Over/Under: 4.5 rounds (Over -135 | Under -101)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -130 | No -105)

UFC 267 Yan vs. Sandhagen: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Yan (15-2-0) | Sandhagen (14-3-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Yan (-240) looks for redemption after his first UFC loss came last time out by way of disqualification. He is focused on snagging that belt that was left in the octagon by Sterling following the illegal knee.

This won’t be an easy fight for Yan, as he gives up four inches in the height department and three inches in reach. He’ll look to keep Sandhagen off balance with his takedown ability, an area he leads in with a 2.14 to 0.74 takedown average. However, that’s not how he’ll win the fight. He’ll keep Sandhagen off balance, then look to drop him with a power punch.

He had impressive knockout wins over Jose Aldo and Urijah Faber prior to his DQ, and he’ll get the finish here, too. As such, YAN BY TKO/KO (+185) is a nice play for the chance to double up.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take NO (-105): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE for the win, since I feel an angry Yan is going to be able to drop Sandhagen and claim the strap. UNDER 4.5 ROUNDS (-101) is an even better value at nearly plus money, too.

UFC 267: Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a lightweight bout on the main card, Islam Makhachev meets Dan Hooker Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Makhachev vs. Hooker odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

The southpaw Makhachev enters on an eight-bout win streak, last losing over six years ago Oct. 3, 2015, against Adriano Martins at UFC 192. His last two victories have been submission wins, in the fourth round July 17 against Thiago Moises and in the third round March 6 against Drew Dober.

Hooker, a.k.a. “The Hangman”, bounced back after a two-bout skid with a unanimous-decision win Sept. 25 over Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 266. He has a rather quick turnaround after going the distance. In fact, four of his past five fights have ended up going the distance.

UFC 267 Makhachev vs. Hooker: Odds and lines

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 9 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Makhachev -600 (bet $600 to win $100) | Hooker +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -190 | Under +135)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes -130 | No -105)

UFC 267 Makhachev vs. Hooker: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Makhachev (20-1-0) | Hooker (21-10-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Makhachev (-600) is the overwhelming favorite over the Kiwi here, costing you six times your potential return, or just $16.67 in profit on a $100 wager. There’s no value there.

Look for the favorite to get the challenger to the canvas looking to put the squeeze on instead. MAKHACHEV BY SUBMISSION (+280) for Method of Victory is a better value and a chance to nearly triple up.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take NO (-105): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE for the win, as I think Makhachev will be looking to get the bout to the canvas as soon as possible. He holds an impressive 3.31 takedown average, with a 65.71 takedown accuracy percentage number, while holding a 1.01-to-0.25 submission average advantage.

UFC 267: Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Alexander Volkov vs. Marcin Tybura, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a heavyweight bout on the main card, Alexander Volkov meets Marcin Tybura Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Volkov vs. Tybura odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

Volkov suffered a unanimous-decision setback against Ciryl Gane last time in the UFC Fight Night main card June 26. He had impressive Round 2 knockouts against veteran Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris in his two prior fights. Five of his past eight bouts have finished inside the distance, with four KO/TKO wins and one knockout loss.

The Polish heavyweight Tybura has recorded five consecutive victories, including KO/TKO wins over Harris and Greg Hardy, which was the first time the former NFL player was finished in his UFC career.

Tybura’s last loss came Sept. 14, 2019, against Augusto Sakai. He has been knocked out in each of his last three losses over the previous nine fights.

UFC 267 Volkov vs. Tybura: Odds and lines

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:40 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Volkov -320 (bet $320 to win $100) | Tybura +235 (bet $100 to win $235)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -122 | Under -112)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +102 | No -140)

UFC 267 Volkov vs. Tybura: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Volkov (33-9-0) | Tybura (22-6-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Volkov (-320) is a little on the expensive side, costing you over three times your potential return. There’s just no value there. Instead, look to the Method of Victory section and take VOLKOV BY TKO/KO (+133) at plus money. Volkov will look to use his two-inch reach advantage to get to Tybura early. He also holds a 4.84-to-3.63 significant strikes landed per minute advantage.

Over/Under (O/U)

I really like the NO (-140): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE play in this tussle. Five of Volkov’s last eight fights have not needed the judges, while Tybura has four finishes in the past seven outings.

In addition, play a two-round block with VOLKOV IN ROUND 2 (+440) and VOLKOV IN ROUND 3 (+720). Yes, you’ll lose one end, but if the Russian fighter wins in Rounds 2-3, you’ll still be well ahead.

UFC 267: Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Li Jingliang vs. Khamzat Chimaev, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on the main card, Li Jingliang meets Khamzat Chimaev Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Jingliang vs. Chimaev odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

Li heads into this fight on the heels of a first-round KO/TKO against Santiago Ponzinibbio, flattening the Argentine fighter with a nasty left hook in January. It was a nice rebound after a unanimous-decision loss to veteran Neil Magny at UFC 248.

Three of Li’s last four fights have resulted in KO/TKO victories, but the win over Ponzinibbio was his quickest since dropping Zak Ottow inside of three minutes Nov. 25, 2017.

Chimaev, a.k.a. “Borz”, is a perfect 9-for-9 so far in his pro MMA career, including 3-0 at the UFC level. Each of his three fights in the UFC have resulted in stoppages, including a pair of first-round KO/TKO wins. That includes a knockout of Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds last time out at UFC Fight Night 178 Sept. 19, 2020.

UFC 267 Jingliang vs. Chimaev: Odds and lines

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:25 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Jingliang +400 (bet $100 to win $400) | Chimaev -600 (bet $600 to win $100)

UFC 267 Jingliang vs. Chimaev: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Jingliang (18-6-0) | Chimaev (9-0-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

There is just no value playing Chimaev at -600. He’ll face his most stern test to date, and playing JINGLIANG (+400) is a much better play. He has knocked out three of his past four opponents and has won nine times via KO/TKO with no losses by the method across his 24 career bouts.

The only thing that worries me about Jingliang is he is giving up 3.5 inches in reach, while Chimaev holds a 9.03-to-4.52 significant strikes landed per minute advantage, so go lightly on Li.

Over/Under (O/U)

I believe this fight ends by way of KO/TKO, but I’m thinking it will not be quick, especially backing the challenger. OVER 1.5 ROUNDS (-135) is the value play here.

UFC 267: Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 267 odds and lines between Magomed Ankalaev vs. Volkan Oezdemir, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight bout on the main card, Magomed Ankalaev meets Volkan Oezdemir Saturday at UFC 267 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Below, we analyze the UFC 267 Ankalaev vs. Oezdemir odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The card can be viewed on ESPN+ with the prelims at 10:30 a.m. ET and the non-PPV main card at 2 p.m. ET.

Ankalaev enters on a six-bout win streak, including a unanimous-decision victory over Nikita Krylov last time out Feb. 27 on the Rozenstruik-Gane card. That was his only fight to go the distance in the last four, with a pair of first-round KO/TKO wins against Ion Cutelaba before that fight.

Ankalaev’s last setback was a submission loss to Paul Craig back in March 2018. In fact, that’s his only loss in 16 career professional fights.

Oezdemir has a 5.03-to-3.41 significant strikes landed per minute advantage. He was knocked out last time out against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 251 in July 2020, and he hasn’t fought since due to a knee injury. He had a pair of victories prior to that loss, including a KO/TKO over Ilir Latifi Aug. 10, 2019.

The Swiss fighter had posted just two wins in his last six fights, but one of those setbacks was a title fight loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 220, and losses to Anthony Smith and Dominick Reyes are nothing to be ashamed about.

UFC 267 Ankalaev vs. Oezdemir: Odds and lines

Odds via Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 8:05 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Ankalaev -340 (bet $340 to win $100) | Oezdemir +250 (bet $100 to win $250)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over +110 | Under -150)

UFC 267 Ankalaev vs. Oezdemir: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Ankalaev (15-1-0) | Oezdemir (17-5-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Ankalaev (-340) will cost you over three times your potential return, and there’s just no value there. Get more specific instead.

Playing ANKALAEV BY TKO/KO (+100) at even money is a much better value, as four of his last six victories have come via knockout. Oezdemir was knocked out by Prochazka in his most recent showing – two of his last four losses have been by that method – and he is coming off a long-term injury.

Over/Under (O/U)

NO (-205): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth playing. Six of Oezdemir’s past eight fights have finished inside the distance, with Ankalaev recording stoppages in five of his seven bouts at the UFC level. UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (-150) is a little cheaper, and also a good play.
