The No. 22 UCLA Bruins (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) visit the No. 14 Oregon State Beavers (5-1, 2-1) Saturday night. Kickoff at Reser Stadium in Corvallis is slated for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the UCLA vs. Oregon State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
The Bruins are No. 22 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. UCLA beat Washington State 25-17 to cover as a 3-point favorite last Saturday following its bye week. The Bruins outgained the Cougars 471 yards to 216. A stingy UCLA defense has held foes under 260 total yards in 4 consecutive games.
The No. 14 Beavers’ lone loss this season was at Washington State on Sept. 23. OSU has won back-to-back games since, including a 52-40 win at California last Saturday as a 7.5-point favorite. QB D.J. Uiagalelei threw 5 TD passes against the Golden Bears.

UCLA at Oregon State picks and predictions
Prediction
Oregon State 31, UCLA 27
Moneyline
UCLA was a 3rd-down disaster in its last road game, a 14-7 loss at Utah on Sept. 23. They were sharp last week in a bounce-back after a bye week.
Oregon State played Utah tougher (OSU bead UU 21-7 the week after the Utes played UCLA), but a couple of other comps swing the Bruins’ way and they’ve had some inconsistent stretches in games that open them up too much to a close one here.
Peg the pricing as fair: PASS.
Against the spread
The Bruins are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 games played in Corvallis.
Figure UCLA as having some partial-unit value at +4.5 or +5 but not on the current number. PASS.
Over/Under
The total has gone Over in 4 of Oregon State’s last 6 games overall and in 6 of UCLA’s last 8 games on the road.
The Bruins offense has not been great and its numbers are propped up by a Sept. 16 rout of FCS North Carolina Central. However, some underlying signals — like 1st and 2nd down success vs. 3rd down trouble — indicate more is under the hood. UCLA showed plenty of balance last Saturday when it piled up 290 passing and 181 rushing yards.
Oregon State ranks 15th in the nation in running the ball (205.5 YPG), but a staunch UCLA defense should force the Beavers into plenty of throws.
In a close game with some back-and-forth spiral, and with the Bruins being a sneaky fast-tempo team, look for this game to get close to 30 a side or thereabouts.
BACK THE OVER 54.5 (-105).
