The UCLA Bruins men’s soccer team is underway for the 2024 season. The Big Ten preseason coaches poll was released earlier this week, and the Bruins come into the season ranked third.
Leading off the Big Ten Men’s soccer preseason poll was the Indiana Hoosiers. They were unanimous to win the conference. Penn State is listed second, while Washington and Michigan State round out the Top 5.
The Bruins will start their Big Ten season on September 13th in Evanston Illinois. Northwestern will host the Bruins on a Friday night. After that, the Bruins will head to Madison Wisconsin and take on the Badgers on September 16th. The first home match for the Bruins will take place on September 21st against Michigan.
UCLA also got three players named on the watch list. Jose Contell, Pablo Greenlee, and Andre Ochoa.
Contell is in his first season for the Bruins. He was named to the All-Far West Region second team last season. Greenlee is also in his fifth season. He has 14 starts in 40 games in his UCLA career.
Andre Ochoa is starting his third season as a key member of the UCLA soccer team. He started all 18 games last season, and in his career at UCLA he has 7 goals and 11 assists
