Nebraska offers 2027 running back Tyson Robinson

The Huskers offered one of the top running backs in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have become the latest program to offer class of 2027 running back Tyson Robinson. The 5-foot-9 tailback out of Brandon, Mississippi, is considered a four-star prospect across the recruiting industry.

In addition to his newest offer from the Huskers, Robinson has offers from Alabama Crimson Tide, Arkansas Razorbacks, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Ole Miss Rebels, Missouri Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, and Washington Huskies, among others.

Through ten games this season, Robinson has carried the ball 119 times for 852 yards. He is averaging 7.2 yards per carry and has scored 18 touchdowns.

The Cornhuskers do not currently hold any commitments in their 2027 recruiting class but do hold two commitments in their 2026 recruiting class and 19 in their 2025 recruiting class.

Of those 19 commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle, a pair are running backs in Connor Booth and Jamarion Parker.

Huskers hosting talented Mississippi recruits on Saturday

The Huskers will be hosting high-profile recruits on Saturday.

Nebraska football is set to have a loaded visit weekend when they take on the UCLA Bruins on Saturday. Three names are noteworthy as Nebraska looks to clinch that elusive sixth win.

Class of 2026 defensive end Nolan Wilson, offensive tackle Mitchell Smith, and class of 2027 running back Tyson Robinson will be among those in attendance on Saturday. Rivals.com’s Sam Spiegelman reported this.

Wilson is not ranked, according to Rivals.com. Smith and Robinson are both four-star prospects.

Smith is currently enrolled at IMG Academy, and this is his first trip to Nebraska. He is a highly sought-after prospect as Ole Miss and Mississippi State appear to be the top two schools in his recruitment.

Robinson is generating interest from many big-name schools. Auburn, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Ohio State are just some of the schools interested in him.

Wilson has also generated a lot of interest despite not being ranked. Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M have all extended him an offer.

This appears to be a big recruiting weekend for Nebraska. Top in-state target Chase Loftin is also making a visit this weekend. The Huskers appear to be pulling out all the stops in what could be a major weekend. They appear to want some of Mississippi’s best in the fold.
