Tickets for games in the Raiders’ new stadium in Las Vegas are prohibitively expensive for most fans, and doubly so when the Kansas City Chiefs are slated to play there. The desert real estate is a prime destination for tourists and townies alike in Sin City, with the tumult of their 2021 campaign adding to the intrigue of how they might collapse or overcome against all odds after getting off to a fast start almost in spite of themselves.
Potentially a turning point in both of the teams’ seasons, the matchup this Sunday at Allegiant Stadium is sure to be one of the most important games on the schedule for Week 10. With anticipation mounting and so much on the line, All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu is organizing a sweepstakes for an all-inclusive trip to Vegas to see Kansas City take on the 5-3 Raiders for a potential share of the lead in the AFC West.
Mathieu’s foundation Tweeted about the giveaway on Tuesday, telling fans that a $10 donation would enter them to win the grand prize of airfare, a hotel, and tickets to the game all for two people.
#ChiefsKingdom, we're on the road this weekend & I want to bring one of you + a guest to Vegas with us! Donate $10 to the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation & be entered to win airfare, hotel & tix to Sunday's game! Enter at https://t.co/n1kXUX9Qsj pic.twitter.com/loJrMDC2Zo

Entries and donations must be submitted by Friday at 3:00 pm Arrowhead time to be considered, and if the response from social media is any indication, fans are jumping all over the opportunity. Not only is the matchup between the teams bound to make for exciting football, but the money raised is also going to an exceptionally good cause.
According to their website, the Tyrann Mathieu Foundation was started by the star safety “to impact the lives of financially disadvantaged children and youth through encouragement, opportunities and resources to achieve their dreams.”
The organization operates in both Kansas City and Mathieu’s native New Orleans, where they’ve done excellent work throughout his time as an NFL superstar. With the help from fans eager to see the Chiefs on the road in Las Vegas, his foundation should see an influx of money that will help Mathieu continue to do big things off the field.
