The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered a junior college wide receiver/kick returner on Monday afternoon. Tre Richardson from Hutchinson (Kansas) Community College announced the scholarship offer on social media.

Richardson is currently the No. 2 ranked in the NJCAA in return yards and is also No. 3 in all-purpose yards. The specialist currently holds offers from Washington State, Liberty and UMass.

Richardson told Husker Online that the Nebraska coaching staff made it clear that he’s a priority for the team in recruiting.

“Omar Hales called me and told me I’m a guy they want. He said that they need some speed like me and then called my head coach and offered me.”

Richardson does not currently have an official visit to Lincoln scheduled although that is expected to change in the near future.
