Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. missed almost all of the team’s 28-27 thrilling victory over the Baltimore Ravens due to a foot injury, but he isn’t concerned about his recovery.

“We’ll be straight by next weekend,” Etienne told John Shipley of Jaguar Report after the game Sunday.

Etienne, 23, has been a star for the Jaguars in his second NFL season, at one point stringing together five consecutive games with at least 100 yards from scrimmage. Against the Ravens, Etienne started the game with a three-yard run on the opening possession and was stuffed at the line of scrimmage on the second possession.

After his second carry, Etienne was spotted heading to the locker room accompanied by Jaguars trainers. He was ruled questionable to return and was never officially ruled out by the team, but Etienne never returned and was replaced in the lineup by JaMycal Hasty and Snoop Conner.

Hasty finished the game with 28 rushing yards, 67 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown, while Conner got 11 yards on three carries.

The Jaguars are set to travel to play the Detroit Lions in Week 13 in a meeting of 4-7 teams. The Lions have one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL and are allowing 5.2 yards per carry this season.

Etienne has been playing lights out the last few weeks, so having him out would be a big loss for the Jags.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. is questionable to return to action in Week 12 after heading to the locker room with a foot injury.

Etienne had a three-yard rush on the Jaguars’ opening possession against the Baltimore Ravens and was stuffed for no gain on the first play of the team’s second possession. Shortly after the Jaguars punted a couple plays later, Etienne was spotted heading to the locker room with trainers.

The second-year running back missed his entire rookie season due to a Lisfranc injury, but has been an emerging star for the team in 2022. After starting the season as one half of a two-back tandem with James Robinson, Etienne took over as the workhorse following a trade that sent Robinson to the New York Jets.

Etienne, 23, had a streak of five straight games with at least 100 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns over a three-game stretch in Weeks 7 through 9.

Earlier in the week, the Jaguars claimed former Los Angeles Rams starting running back Darrell Henderson, but he was listed as inactive Sunday after only having a few days to learn the playbook. If Etienne is unable to return to action, backup running back JaMycal Hasty will presumably see the majority of the touches in the backfield.

3 keys to a Jaguars victory in Week 12 vs. Ravens

The Jaguars will need to put together a good game plan to slow down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t throwing in the towel on the 2022 season, but their chances at turning a 3-7 record into a run at the playoffs are extremely slim.

If the Jaguars have any hope at turning things around, it has to start with an upset win over the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 12.

The Ravens appear set to come to Jacksonville a little banged up with Lamar Jackson nursing a hip injury that he should be able to play through and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Kyle Hamilton, and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson among those who have missed practices.

Still, Baltimore has won four straight and the Jaguars have won just one of their last seven. Here are three things that need to happen if Jacksonville hopes to take down the four-point visiting favorites Sunday:

Jaguars claim former Rams RB Darrell Henderson off waivers

The Jaguars added a veteran running back to join Travis Etienne in the backfield.

The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed former Los Angeles Rams starting running back Darrell Henderson, the team announced Wednesday.

Earlier this season, the Jaguars traded away James Robinson to the New York Jets and turned second-year back Travis Etienne Jr. into the workhorse in the Jacksonville backfield. While the team hoped that JaMycal Hasty could be the spell back for Etienne, he has been largely ineffective in the role.

Hasty managed to break free for a 61-yard touchdown run against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, but has managed just 30 yards on 14 touches in the Jaguars’ last four games.

With Henderson added to the fold, the Jaguars could provide a little more relief for Etienne, who had 57 touches over a two-game span after the Robinson trade.

Henderson, 25, was the Rams’ third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and recorded 2,216 yards and 17 total touchdowns in 50 games with the team. This season, Henderson was averaging 4.0 yards per carry through 10 games with three rushing touchdowns before he was waived earlier this week.

Henderson is in the final year of his rookie contract and is set to become a free agent in the offseason.

Gallery: Clemson vs. Miami through the years

Clemson is 6-6 all-time against the Hurricanes and can take a one-win advantage with a victory on Saturday.

With only two regular-season games left before the ACC Championship game, Clemson is at its make-or-break point of the season, starting with a pivotal game against Miami on Saturday.

Slated to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET, the game between the Tigers (9-1) and the Hurricanes (5-5) will be the 13th time the two teams have met, dating back to their first matchup in 1945.

The last time the Tigers and Hurricanes faced off was in 2020, when Clemson came away with a 42-17 win at Memorial Stadium. The win extended Clemson’s win streak over Miami to three games and evened up the all-time record against the Hurricanes to 6-6.

While this year’s Miami team hasn’t lived up to the expectations many had for the team in the preseason, Clemson still has to take care of business to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive.

That said, here are some of the best photos from Clemson vs. Miami games through the years.

5 Jaguars with the best chance at a Pro Bowl nod

Will any Jaguars players make the Pro Bowl?

Voting for the 2023 Pro Bowl opened this week and there’s no Jacksonville Jaguars player with a clear inside track for a spot on the AFC roster.

The Pro Bowl is going to look a lot different in February when a flag football game and skills competitions will replace the NFL’s traditional season-ending all-star game. With players no longer allowed to opt out from participating if they’re uninjured, don’t expect a situation like the time David Garrard became a Pro Bowler as the sixth alternate.

While players set to play in the Super Bowl still won’t be participating in the Pro Bowl, the Jaguars players with an argument at being voting in will need to finish the season strong to deserve a spot.

Here are five Jaguars players who have the best shot at earning Pro Bowl honors this year:

Travis Etienne explains how Chiefs shut down the Jaguars run game

What did the Chiefs defense do to hold Travis Etienne to just 45 rushing yards Sunday?

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. entered Sunday on a streak of five straight games with at least 100 yards from scrimmage. That came to an end when the Kansas City Chiefs defense held Etienne to just 45 rushing yards and 28 receiving yards.

“The backside backers were shooting gaps,” Etienne explained after the game, via Mia O’Brien of 1010XL. “So they weren’t letting us get outside to the perimeter and the cutback’s not there because the backers were shooting the gaps. I feel like we should’ve done more inside zones, you can see we came to it and got a couple good gains.

“So they had a good game plan, I just gotta be better, I feel like. Make a guy miss or something, just do something special and make a spark for the team.”

Another way the Chiefs limited the Jaguars’ running game was by racking up a 20-0 lead in the first half. Jacksonville spent the majority of the day trying to play catch-up with quarterback Trevor Lawrence throwing 40 passes on the day. Etienne had 11 rushing attempts and caught three passes.

While the Jaguars won’t play many teams with offensive explosiveness nearly on the level of the Chiefs, the Jacksonville offense will need to adjust to defenses that aim to replicate Kansas City’s success at containing Etienne. That’s something the running back says he and the team will be ready for.

“We are not here to justify a loss or make ourselves feel better about anything,” Etienne said. “I feel like we have to put the feelings to bed and find ways to get better. Obviously, people are going to key on me going into the future and I have to find a way to make something out of nothing. I have to continue to get better.”

Through 10 games, Etienne has 725 rushing yards and 202 receiving yards with four touchdowns. With 275 more rushing yards over the last seven games, Etienne could join Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew, Leonard Fournette, and James Robinson as the only players to eclipse 1,000 yards on the ground in a season with the Jaguars.

5 Jaguars players to watch vs. Chiefs in Week 10

Who do the Jaguars need to step up most Sunday if they hope to upset the Chiefs?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a tall task Sunday if they hope to make it back-to-back wins.

To follow up a Week 9 win against the Las Vegas Raiders with another victory, the Jaguars will have to take down the perennial AFC powerhouse Kansas City Chiefs. For four straight years, the Chiefs have reached the AFC Championship and in two of those years, the team earned a trip to the Super Bowl.

Unsurprisingly, the 6-2 Chiefs are large favorites against the 3-6 Jaguars in Week 10.

If the Jaguars hope to spring the upset, these five players will have to step up in a big way Sunday:
