The Portland Trail Blazers (5-4) host the struggling Toronto Raptors (2-7) Monday at Moda Center. Tip-off will be at 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Raptors-Trail Blazers NBA betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The Raptors are wrapping up a four-game road trip and come in with a 1-2 record following a 106-105 loss to the Golden State Warriors Sunday. They’ve lost four of their last five games.

Raptors at Trail Blazers: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Trail Blazers 124, Raptors 111

Money line (ML)

The TRAIL BLAZERS (-200) can be backed for the win, albeit as an expensive play. Gs C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard, who’re averaging 27.9 and 26.4 points per game, respectively, match up well against a Raptors side relying much too heavily on its backcourt. SF Robert Covington, who’s averaging 6.6 PPG and 5.8 rebounds per game, should also get his season jumpstarted against struggling Raptors wings SF OG Anunoby and PF Pascal Siakam.

Both teams have six players averaging at least 10.0 PPG, but the Blazers are receiving much higher production from McCollum and Lillard. G Fred VanVleet leads the Raptors with 22.1 PPG.

Against the spread (ATS)

Get better value on the TRAIL BLAZERS -4.5 (-115) by backing them to win by at least 5 points. Toronto leads the NBA with 42.3 3-point attempts per game but ranks just 18th in conversion rate (36.0%). Portland holds its opponents to just 35.0% from behind the 3-point arc to rank seventh in the Association.

The Blazers are tied with the Raps with 42.3 3PA per game but they’re fifth with a 38.6% success rate. Toronto allows opponents to make 37.0% of 3-pointers.

The differences in 3-point shooting and defending will result in a sizable gap on the scoreboard.

Over/Under (O/U)

The teams are a combined 9-9 against the Over/Under.

Look for a lesser defensive effort from Toronto on the second half of a back-to-back and for Portland to exceed its Western Conference-leading 117.9 PPG. The Raptors commit more fouls than all but two teams so the Blazers should be able to pile on with some late free throws.

Back the OVER 230.5 (-115).
