The Grizzlies have dropped three straight, including a 118-109 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday. They also failed to cover the spread in each of those losses, losing by at least 9 points in all three games. They’re just 3-6 straight up at home for the season.

The Raptors had a three-game win streak snapped with a 132-121 loss at the Atlanta Hawks Saturday. Toronto failed to cover the spread as a 1-point favorite. The Raps are 4-8 away from their 2020-21 season home of Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.

Back the RAPTORS (-155) to get back on track following the loss to the Hawks. They had won their previous three games all by at least 6 points.

The Grizzlies, who had won and covered the spread in seven straight before the active losing skid, don’t match up well against how the Raps want to win games. Toronto is third in the Association in 3-point attempts per game (41.9) and ninth in success rate (37.8%). Memphis holds the opposition to 33.2 threes attempted per game but allows a success rate of 38.2% on those.

On their own, the Grizzlies are shooting just 35.4% from 3-point range as a team. Memphis has a sizable edge in both rebounds and fouls per game, but turnovers are tight and Toronto ranks 13th in free-throw attempts per field-goal attempts; the Grizzlies are last.

Against the spread (ATS)

Get better value by backing the RAPTORS -3.5 (-105) to win by at least 3 points. Three-point and free-throw shooting both heavily favor the visitors and those factors should allow Toronto to keep some separation late in the game.

Over/Under (O/U)

Go with the OVER 224.5 (-110) but on a lighter wager. The Raptors have played to five straight Overs and the Grizzlies are 4-1 against the O/U in their last five games.

The Grizzlies have the better overall defense with 109.8 points allowed per game, but they struggle on the perimeter and Raptors Gs Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Norman Powell can take advantage of that.
