The UCLA Bruins seem to have found a pipeline in their recruiting. This week, UCLA defensive line and outside linebackers coach Tony Washington Jr. visited Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California.
Home to recent defensive back transfer Kaylin Moore, Oaks Christian is home to recent UCLA recruiting prospect Hayden Lowe. Lowe, a four-star defensive end, visited the Bruins and has received an offer from UCLA.
Given the Bruins recent success at the defensive line and outside linebacker position, with the Murphy Twins and Laiatu Latu finding homes in the NFL, UCLA presents a desirable landing spot for the 6′ 4″, 242 lb edge.
But the Bruins have their work cut out for them in pursuing Lowe. With tons of NCAA Division 1 offers on the table, UCLA will need to go hard at Lowe to stand out from the rest.
Given the Bruins’ track record of creating NFL edge defenders, they still have a puncher’s chance to land Lowe.
