Twitter reacts to Alabama signing another Devonta Smith

Alabama may be saying goodbye to star WR DeVonta Smith, but they can say hello to Devonta Smith, the CB, who is the first to sign Wednesday.

Nick Saban landed his first signing of the day, Devonta Smith. No, not that one. Sorry, Alabama fans, you will not be getting four more years of a Heisman-worthy wide receiver.

It’s Devonta Smith, the four-star cornerback out of Cincinnati, Ohio!

Smith held offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee and others, but he chose the Crimson Tide long before the early signing period.

While he may not be an explosive wide receiver, he is one of the nation’s top ranked cornerbacks and has the potential to be the next big defensive star to come out of Alabama.

People on Twitter are having fun with it, though, posting some hilarious reactions.
