Leaked video of Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau reveals their personal feud is very much alive

If U.S Ryder Cup Captain Steve Stricker is considering a pod system, he’ll want to keep these two far apart.

Well, it’s not breaking news that Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have enjoyed an icy relationship, at best. But if U.S Ryder Cup Captain Steve Stricker is considering implementing a pod system in late September, he’ll want to keep Koepka and DeChambeau far apart — perhaps rooms on opposite wings of the team hotel.

As a leaked video that surfaced on social media on Monday evening showed, there is no love lost between these two major champions. The video shows Koepka being interviewed by Golf Channel reporter Todd Lewis following his second round on Friday. Midway through his response to a question, DeChambeau can be seen walking in the shot behind him and Koepka sighs, rolls his eyes and loses his train of concentration.

“I didn’t putt well but I don’t think any of the guys were going to putt well with this wind. It’s very tough. I don’t know what the other guys have said or … I just found it difficult to read sometimes,” Koepka said. “…. Sometimes, um … I lost my train of thought, yeah. Hearing that bulls—t.”

What exactly Koepka is referring to is unclear. What DeChambeau said, if anything, is difficult to hear, but some responses to the social media post suggest DeChambeau said, “Just gotta start it on the right line.”

In any event, the Koepka-DeChambeau rivalry is alive and well.

Their public feud dates back to Koepka singling out DeChambeau for his deliberate pace, which led to an impromptu meeting of the minds ahead of the final round of the 2018 Northern Trust. Since then they have traded pot shots on social media, with DeChambeau critiquing Koepka’s physique and Koepka delivering a perfect response.
