After sitting out both rounds of play on Saturday (Friday night in North America) at the 2019 Presidents Cup, playing captain Tiger Woods is back on the course for Sunday’s final singles match.
Woods, who boasts a 6-2 record in eight previous appearances, will be first out the gate for the Americans, taking on the MVP for the Internationals, Abraham Ancer. The Presidents Cup rookie has been lights-out for Ernie Els this week at Royal Melbourne, going 3-0-1 in his four matches.

Presidents Cup playing captain Tiger Woods will lead the Americans out the gate in the first match of this year’s event at Royal Melbourne, teaming up with Justin Thomas for Day One’s four-ball matches.
Woods and Thomas, who were paired together for three of the four rounds in the Bahamas last week at the Hero World Challenge, take on the International squad’s Marc Leishman and Joaquin Niemann at 5:32 p.m. ET.
This is Woods’ ninth appearance for Team USA (his first since 2013) and Thomas’ second. Thomas is 2-0 in the four-ball format, while Woods is 7-9.

Eighteen of the world’s best are at Albany for the fifth consecutive year, with Woods making his first appearance since winning his record-tying 82nd PGA Tour event in October at the inaugural Zozo Championship in Japan.
Woods, a five-time winner of the Hero, shot even par Wednesday, then had one of Thursday’s best rounds with a 6-under 66.
