Iowa Hawkeyes pick up 247Sports crystal ball prediction for 2025 TE Thomas Meyer

After picking up an Iowa offer as a tight end several days ago, Thomas Meyer has now been crystal-balled to the Hawkeyes.

After a weekend visit, in-state product Thomas Meyer picked up an offer from Iowa to play tight end.

Realistically, he could probably play there or up front as an edge rusher if he added weight. The 2025 prospect is listed as an athlete by Rivals, as a defensive lineman by 247Sports and as an EDGE by On3. Currently, he’s listed as a 6-foot-5, 210 pound prospect.

The Clear Lake, Iowa, recruit also has offers from Iowa State, Kansas State and Kansas. Per 247Sports, the Cyclones offered on Jan. 14, the Wildcats offered on Feb. 6 and the Jayhawks offered on March 31.

Now, Hawkeye Insider‘s Sean Bock has submitted a 247Sports crystal ball prediction for Meyer to ultimately commit to the black and gold.

While Meyer is currently an unranked prospect across the various recruiting services, it’s early in the 2025 cycle and it’s easy to see what the Hawkeye coaching staff likes about him. He runs well, is explosive off the edge, has good size and length, is a willing blocker, and has the ability to continue adding weight to his frame.
