Here’s the first Wolf Among Us 2 details and debut gameplay trailer

Bigby Wolf’s adventures will continue in 2023.

After many years of hype and one unfortunate cancellation, The Wolf Among Us 2 is coming out in 2023. 

We knew Telltale Games was going to reveal The Wolf Among Us 2 this week, though more details came from Wednesday’s event than most were expecting. Firstly, Wolf Among Us 2 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it releases next year. 

Unlike the original Wolf Among Us, the sequel will not be episodic. Instead, Telltale is opting for a single release like most games.

The Wolf Among Us 2 reveal is happening this week

Bigby Wolf is about to make a comeback.

Telltale Games will finally deliver on its promise of more Wolf Among Us 2 details this week.

The Wolf Among Us 2 will reveal its first trailer this Wednesday at 10 A.M. PDT // 1 P.M. EDT on Twitch and YouTube. Telltale has yet to say which channels will host the broadcast, but we’ll update you once the company does.

Games industry hype man Geoff Keighley will be hosting the event, which will run for half an hour and go into some detail about The Wolf Among Us 2’s development. The trailer will (thankfully) be in-game, so we’ll get to see what it looks like without any CGI cinematics leaving everyone cold.

Wolf Among Us Season 2 details are coming in 2022

Bigby Wolf returns.

New details on Season 2 of The Wolf Among Us  will finally emerge next year.

Back in 2018, Wolf Among Us  developer Telltale Games had to close its doors after  filing for bankruptcy. Now the studio is back, at least in some regard, and spoke to fans candidly about who’s behind this new iteration of Telltale Games.

“We’re industry veterans – former members and fans of the original Telltale – honoring that legacy of great storytelling,” Telltale Games said  on Twitter. “We’re using [the Unreal] engine while sustainably developing whole seasons at once.”

Telltale Games goes on to state that work on several projects began in early 2020, including a much-anticipated follow-up to Bigby Wolf’s adventures.

“And, yes, we announced The Wolf Among Us Season 2 going into pre-production in Dec. 2019,” Telltale Games continues on Twitter. “Hang in for early next year when we can go deeper into things with [The Wolf Among Us Season 2].”

The first teaser for The Wolf Among Us Season 2  dropped back at the 2019  Game Awards, which you can check out below.

Interestingly enough,  Telltale Games announced a new adventure game based on The Expanse at the 2021 Game Awards.

Rarely does a studio come back the way Telltale Games has, so here’s to hoping The Wolf Among Us Season 2  turns out great.
