Vikings offseason program begins: The Real Forno Show

With just 10 days remaining until the NFL Draft, things are heating up with the Minnesota Vikings and we discuss on The Real Forno Show.

We are just 10 days away from the NFL Draft and the Minnesota Vikings haven’t stopped making moves. On Monday, they agreed to terms with cornerback Joejuan Williams on a contract likely at the minimum.

Along with the signing of Williams, both edge rusher Danielle Hunter and running back Dalvin Cook aren’t expected to attend offseason workouts that started on Monday. What does that mean?

We will also talk about the second-annual All-Forno Team. Eight players made the squad this year and we will talk about why they did.

Finally, the betting odds for who the Vikings will take at the 23rd overall pick. With them likely to trade out of the selection, what can we gather from this? Finally, we will finish the show with our second to last mock draft. How will the Vikings fare in this exercise?

Quarterback of the future: The Real Forno Show

The Minnesota Vikings need a quarterback of the future, but what happens if they don’t get a quarterback on day one?

The Minnesota Vikings are in an interesting position this year when it comes to the draft. They need a quarterback of the future, but they might be out of range to get one in the first round.

What does it look like if the Vikings want to get one in the middle rounds? Things are quite a bit murky, but there are some good players that might be worth developing to see what you potentially could have. That doesn’t mean that they will end up with next Dak Prescott, but they could have a long-term backup. W

ho could the Vikings take? We will discuss some of those options.

  • Tanner McKee
  • Dorian Thompson-Robinson
  • Jaren Hall
  • Clayton Tune
  • Aidan O’Connell

We will also discuss Tyler Forness’ two-round mock draft. Tune in live tonight on The Real Forno Show at 6 pm central or on demand on the Vikings 1st & SKOL YouTube channel.

The NFL draft is going to be really interesting this year. The draft class is not the strongest, but there are some talented players.

This class will end up being defined by the decisions the teams who take quarterbacks in the first round.

This mock draft was a collaborative effort on The Real Forno Show with four analysts alternating every four picks with each analyst’s picks in parenthesis.

  • Vikings Wire Manging Editor Tyler Forness (1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 29)
  • RPM Data Analyst A.J. Schulte (2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30)

Will Anderson, Tyree Wilson and the edge class: The Real Forno Show

The edge class is a very interesting group. Damian Parson of The Draft Network joins managing editor Tyler Forness to discuss that and more.

This draft class is at it’s strongest from pick 20 to around pick 50-60. The Minnesota Vikings are in that range and have a chance to get multiple picks in that range with a trade back.

If they do trade back, there is a chance that they take an edge rusher. This class has a lot of talent, but how does it stack up.

On Thursday’s episode of The Real Forno Show, Tyler is joined by The Draft Network’s Damian Parson to discuss the class. Who could the Vikings take in April’s draft? What is the debate between Tyree Wilson and Will Anderson? Find out at 1 pm central on a live episode of The Real Forno Show on the Vikings 1st & SKOL YouTube channel.

How does Hendon Hooker translate to the NFL?

On the latest episode of The Real Forno Show, Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar joins to talk about the curious case of Hendon Hooker.

The Minnesota Vikings need a quarterback of the future, and this year’s NFL draft is a great place to get one. Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker is a candidate for the Vikings to draft at 23rd overall, but his tape has people very split on him.

While I am not a fan of Hooker, the managing editor of Touchdown Wire Doug Farrar wrote an interesting piece on the offense Hooker plays in, and it’s contradictory to my take.

On Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. CT, Doug joins me on “The Real Forno Show” which airs on the Vikings 1st & SKOL YouTube channel, to discuss Hooker. If you can’t catch it live, watch it on demand!

Vikings’ best NFL draft fits: The Real Forno Show

Who are the best fits in the NFL draft for the Minnesota Vikings? Find out on the latest episode of The Real Forno Show.

The Minnesota Vikings are just 24 days away from the next step of the competitive rebuild. There are a multitude of directions that they can go in terms of position, but who are the best fits from a prospect standpoint?

That will be the main topic of conversation on Monday’s episode of The Real Forno Show. We will go over the best fits at the following positions.

  • Running back
  • Wide receiver
  • Edge rusher
  • Cornerback

Along with that, we will do another mock draft and explore another different situation for the Vikings. Who will they pick at each of their selections and what is the best course of action? We break it all down live at 6pm central on the Vikings 1st & SKOL YouTube channel.

Wide receivers in the NFL Draft: The Real Forno Show

On the latest episode of The Real Forno Show, Tyler Forness sat down with Sports Illustrated’s Cole Thompson to discuss the WR draft class.

The Minnesota Vikings have quite a good history when it comes to drafting wide receivers. They selected Randy Moss in 1998, Percy Harvin in 2009, Stefon Diggs in 2015 and Justin Jefferson in 2020.

With the NFL draft approacing, wide receiver is a hot topic among both fans and analysts. Yes Jefferson is great and they have a top-tier tight end in T.J. Hockenson, but can you trust K.J. Osborn as your number two wide receiver?

That’s where the discussion gets fun. Adding a top-end number two wide receiver should be a priority and this class is one that I perceive to be much better than the rest of the industry.

On tonight’s show, we bring in Cole Thompson who covers college football and the Houston Texans for Sports Illustrated to discuss the wide receiver class. Who does Thompson believe is the top of the class? We will discuss this and more at 6 pm central time live on The Real Forno Show on the Vikings 1st & SKOL YouTube channel. If you miss it live, catch it on demand at anytime!
