Watch Texas A&M HC Mike Elko inspire his team during halftime of LSU game

Coach Mike Elko gives an impassioned halftime speech before A&M’s 31-6 second-half run vs. LSU

Head coach Mike Elko is very aware of this new era of never-ending recruiting and NIL. A big part of that is the team’s media department, which captures iconic moments from this season for all of us to view.

During the newest episode of 12th Man Production’s “The Pulse,” Texas A&M’s media team provided footage of head coach Mike Elko’s now memorable halftime speech before the Aggies embarked on a 31-6 second-half run against LSU.

Week 9’s primetime matchup against LSU did not start off as Texas A&M wanted after trailing 17-7 heading into the locker room at halftime. After the position meetings concluded, Mike Elko brought the team together to set the tone for the second half. What really caught my eye was at the end of the speech when he emphasized the need to focus on the task and, and emphasis, the team’s strengths.

The team ran back onto the field with a revitalized mentality, and the defense made a few big plays, giving the Aggies the ball in LSU’s red zone. That’s when Elko switched to redshirt freshman quarterback Marcel Reed, who scored a rushing touchdown on the very next play, causing Kyle Field to erupt.

Elko keeps checking off challenges and building something that will last for years in Aggieland.

‘Here is culture’ Texas A&M HC Mike Elko applauds his QBs in new episode of ‘The Pulse’

12th Man Productions’s “The Pulse” showed an impassioned Mike Elko thanking quarterbacks Conner Weigman and Marcel Reed for their steadfast leadership.

Texas A&M’s 2024 season is off to a successful start, as the Aggies have won five in a row after falling to Notre Dame to open the season, culminating with Saturday’s blowout 41-10 win over a top ten-ranked Missouri Tiger team inside a packed Kyle Field.

Aided by the return of starting quarterback Conner Weigman, who had missed the last three games due to a shoulder injury, the redshirt sophomore was lights out in the pocket, finishing 18/22 for 276 yards while hitting tight windows and connecting deep several times to set up the running game and open up the playbook for OC Collin Klein.

While running backs Le’Veon Moss and Amari Daniels finished with five combined touchdowns, Weigman’s efficiency drove the Aggies down the field to score on seven of nine drives.

On Wednesday, 12th Man Production’s award-winning show, “The Pulse,” provided a glimpse into the Aggie locker room after the win. It showed an impassioned Mike Elko applauding Conner Weigman and backup quarterback Marcel Reed, who earned a 3-0 record and kept the Aggies above water during Weigman’s absence.

“A couple things I want to point out, Right? First of all, our quarterback, Conner Weigman. (applause) “So, man, I’m gonna say this too, Marcel Reed, where you at?” Elko Stated.

“Yes sir, because here’s culture. Culture is coming in when your name is called, leading us to 3-0, making it an extremely difficult decision, deciding to go back to our starter without him flinching, him being an unbelievable energy source, him being prepared if we needed him today, and him just being a great part of this program, that if we every go back to him, I know he’ll be ready.”

With a clear focus on Marcel Reed’s leadership qualities of taking over and helping keep the Aggies in contention for a playoff berth, Elko’s words further prove that Texas A&M has one of the best quarterback rooms in the country.

Watch: “The Pulse” captured Interim HC Elijah Robinson’s emotional speech after Texas A&M’s 42-30 loss to LSU

In the most recent episode of 12th Man Productions; “The Pulse,” Texas A&M interim HC Elijah Robinson is beloved by the Aggies roster.

After the firing of now-former Texas A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher, almost immediately, Aggies Athletic Director Ross Bjork named defensive line coach Elijah Robinson as the interim head coach, as the widely respected and beloved assistant guided A&M to their seventh win of the season over Abilene Christian just a week later.

However, facing the then-14th-ranked LSU Tigers on the road against senior quarterback Jayden Daniels was a tall task in Robinson’s second game at the helm. After leading 24-14 at one point in the second half, Daniels, who has accounted for 4,000 total yards and is a leading Heisman favorite, threw for a game-high four touchdowns, overwhelming the Aggies secondary, as the Tigers outscored A&M 28-6 in the second half to earn a 42-30 victory.

After the game, 12th Man Production’s “The Pulse” caught one of the more emotional moments, capturing Elijah Robinson’s final speech to the team after the loss, simply stating while in tears,

“In the past two weeks, y’all have shown what it means to be family.”

It’s no secret that Robinson remains a vital coach on the Aggies staff, and with new Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko officially taking for the foreseeable future, it has already been reported that Elko is doing everything in his power to keep Elijah Robinson on staff, which may include a possible promotion.

Watch: Jimbo Fisher’s final speech as Texas A&M’s head coach

Watch Jimbo Fisher deliver his final locker room speech on the latest episode of 12th Man Productions “The Pulse.”

As Texas A&M continues to bid farewell to now former Texas A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher, 12th-Man Productions’ “The Pulse” captured the final moments of Fisher’s Aggie coaching career, specifically in the locker room after last weekend’s 51-10 win over Mississippi State.

In one of A&M’s most complete games of the season, former Fresno State quarterback Jaylen Henderson started in his first career game with the program, producing four touchdowns on the ground and through the air, while the Aggies’ stifling defense recorded five sacks and three interceptions in yet another dominant showing.

For nearly all of us who cover the program, outside of leading Texas A&M insider TexAgs co-owner Billy Liucci, our after-game coverage was focused on the team’s vast improvement after falling to Ole Miss a week prior. Still, as soon as Sunday morning hit, Liucci shockingly revealed that Jimbo Fisher had been let go after six seasons at the helm.

The decision was made by A&M’s Board of Regents last Thursday afternoon,  and as it currently stands, Fisher was unaware of his firing before the Mississippi State matchup. So, for the final time, here is Jimbo’s last speech to the 2023 Texas A&M Football team. Credit to GigEm247’s Carter Karels for the video.
