Every year, the members of the Pittsburgh chapter of the PWFA vote on which Pittsburgh Steelers play is the best example of a player who cooperates with the media in the most positive ways. This year’s winner of The Chief Award — named in honor of Art Rooney — is defensive tackle Cam Heyward.
Heyward has been with the Steelers for nine seasons and has always been the standard for professionalism and courtesy when it comes to interviews and working with the media. The Pittsburgh media also awarded linebacker Devin Bush with the Joe Greene Award as the team’s top rookie.
