Ky gives a first-hand account of being at Wells Fargo Center the night the league went into suspension on March 11 and Nick gives his perspective of being at a radio station when he heard the news as the pandemic became real for both of them.

The two then looked back at what happened for the Philadelphia 76ers as well as the NBA as a whole. The Sixers had themselves a whirlwind of a year as they moved on from Brett Brown after seven seasons and Doc Rivers entered as the new head coach to try and help Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons get to the next level. They also discuss Simmons’ lack of a jumper and Seth Curry’s play thus far.

The Bell Ringer Podcast returns on Thursday with another edition to discuss the bold moves made by new Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey during the 2020 NBA draft. Sixers Wire managing editor Ky Carlin welcomes Nick Friar of both Nets Wire and WEEI in Boston to discuss how these moves helped the Sixers move forward.

The team needed shooting and Morey was able to get some after moving Al Horford to the Oklahoma City Thunder and then Josh Richardson to the Dallas Mavericks. Bringing in guys such as Danny Green and Seth Curry are going to be pay dividends on the offensive end to make sure Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have enough room to operate on the offensive end of the floor.

Also, the Sixers appeared to have hit on all three draft picks in Tyrese Maxey, Isaiah Joe, and Paul Reed to make for a great night for Morey and the Sixers.
