The next Bachelor has been revealed, and he’s a contestant from Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette season

We now know the next Bachelor ahead of the show’s 29th season.

The next star of ABC’s hit reality dating series The Bachelor has been revealed.

The network shared that Grant Ellis, a contestant from Jenn Tran’s ongoing season of The Bachelorette, will be the next Bachelor for the show’s 29th season, per Variety.

Ellis wasn’t given the rose needed to continue for Tran’s season, but he’ll now get a chance to field an entire Bachelor process of his own.

While Tran’s season is entering its hometown dates, Ellis’ run with the long-running reality program as its lead star will begin sometime in 2025.

At least for now, Tran’s season will conclude in the weeks ahead.

Check out Ellis’ Bachelorette biography, per Variety.

Ellis is 30 years old and lives in Houston, where he works as a day trader. Per ABC’s official bio for the franchise’s upcoming lead, he is a “self-proclaimed mama’s boy” whose “infectious smile and unwavering positivity instantly brighten every room he enters. The former pro basketball player is passionate about his career as a day trader, but when he’s not immersed in the fast-paced world of finance, you can find him cheering on the Lakers, hitting strikes at the bowling alley or belting out tunes at karaoke nights. As the Bachelor, Ellis is eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure and genuine connections. He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.”

Where is the Bachelor finale on Hulu? Fans are freaking out on Tuesday morning (UPDATE)

Where is the Bachelor finale on Hulu in 2024? Good question!

If you are one of the countless fans of The Bachelor who didn’t watch the final of Season 28 on Monday night and you wanted to watch it on Hulu Tuesday morning, you might be out of luck (for right now).

UPDATE: it’s up now!

There’s no word yet on when it’ll be on the streaming service, and we promise we won’t spoil anything for you like who Joey Graziadei chose or how fans reacted to the finale (if you click on those links, you can find out that information easily!).

But for now, Bachelor fans were freaking out that the finale wasn’t on Hulu right away:

Welp.

Who wins The Bachelor 2024? See who Joey Graziadei picks

This season of The Bachelor aired its grand finale on Monday night. Who did Joey pick?

Monday night brought yet another grand finale for this year’s season of The Bachelor, as this season’s lead, Joey Graziadei, proposed to his future wife.

Louisiana native Kelsey Anderson earned the final rose from Graziadei, as she accepted his proposal and became his fiancée by the end of the season.

Graziadei planned to choose between Anderson and Daisy Kent in the final episode.

However, things ended with a curveball where Kent chose to withdraw herself from the competition right at the end when she felt that Graziadei was ultimately in love with Anderson.

Graziadei and Anderson will now plan to wed, although no set timeline has been set for when the couple’s wedding will take place.

Bachelor 2024 cast guide: Meet the 32 women hoping to win Joey’s heart

The new season of the long-running reality dating show kicks off January 22.

The Bachelor is back, and this time the endearing tennis pro Joey Graziadei is entering the mansion with the hopes of finding his forever love. Graziadei was the man not chosen by Bachelorette Charity Lawson, and the 28-year-old Pennsylvanian is ready to come out a winner this time.

A whopping 32 women will descend upon Los Angeles for their chance to be Graziadei’s ace. The ladies range in age from 24 to 31, and we’ve got everything from actors to real estate agents to nannies to cybersecurity consultants this season.

Let’s meet the ladies from Season 28 of The Bachelor, which airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

The Golden Bachelor: Meet the 22 senior women looking for a second chance at love

These lovely ladies are looking for a second chance at love.

You’re never too old to find love.

That is certainly the hope of Gerry Turner, a 71-year-old widower, who will meet 22 women in ABC’s new reality dating spin-off, The Golden Bachelor. The suitors range anywhere from 60 to 75 years old, a big departure for a franchise that has previously discussed 30-somethings like they have one foot in the grave.

The series premieres on ABC on Thursday, September 28.

There is one familiar face in the crowd for anyone who is a fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise as Patty James, the mother of former Bachelor Matt James has joined the fray. All of these ladies look incredible, so let’s meet them.

The Bachelor’s Zach Shallcross makes a mess of Fantasy Suite week in the most unnecessary way

A self-imposed rule that comes back to bite him.

It’s Fantasy Suite week, and our bachelor Zach Shallcross was determined to not make things messy.

Folks, it got messy.

Zach’s intentions heading into the week where physical intimacy is expected — or at least accepted — were honestly coming from a good place. He didn’t want to have sex with any of the three remaining women during the overnight dates, because that would be weird, what with him seemingly proposing to one of them in a week’s time.

Makes sense!

And it seemed to be working well through his first date with Ariel. They visited a market in Thailand, had a private dinner and went to the Fantasy Suite. After waking up all canoodled, it’s revealed they didn’t cross that line, so Zach is still cruising with his plan!

Gabi was the second date of the week, and they spent an afternoon on the beach before she opened up about insecurities in their relationship and the fact that she had been cheated on previously. Another private dinner came before a night alone together, heavy emphasis on the together in that situation.

That’s right. Zach and Gabi got very personal, breaking his one rule for the week. Racked with guilt, he felt the need to confess his sins to host Jesse Palmer.

That guilt also led him to confess to Kaity, which made for an incredibly awkward date in the jungle for the pair. Kaity would go on to forgive him, deciding to spend the evening with him in the Fantasy Suite (we find out after the rose ceremony that he did not get intimate with Kaity).

All of this was just so unnecessary and messy. Everyone knows that Fantasy Suites happen with three contenders left. Everyone knows that the possibility of intimacy exists.

Instead of keeping things simple, there are now way more emotions and drama. At the Rose Ceremony, Zach sent Ariel home. She was the only one that he either 1. was not intimate with or 2. hadn’t told about his intimacy with one of the other women.

Their chemistry was off the charts, and it’s hard not to wonder if his pick wasn’t influenced. There’s no way Gabi was going home after everything, and Kaity was the first name called. Ariel feels more like a casualty of the situation than a woman we expected to be sent home.

It’s fair to wonder how much of Zach’s decision-making this week stemmed back to his bizarre Fantasy Suite experience with co-Bachelorette Rachel last season, after which Zach removed himself from the competition.

Next week, Gabi and Kaity will meet Zach’s family, and he will allegedly propose to one of them. I can’t imagine it will go smoothly, but we will tune in nonetheless.

The Bachelor recap: Contenders, pretenders and power rankings after Ep. 8

We are getting so close to the end.

It’s hometown week, folks! We are down to the final four women vying for Zach Shallcross’s season of The Bachelor as Gabi, Ariel, Charity and Kaity hope to earn a spot in the trio for Fantasy Suite week.

Zach’s journey on the road starts in Pittsford, Vermont with Gabi as the couple scampers through the woods, taps a tree, tries a bunch of different syrups and meets Gabi’s family. It’s a pretty straight-forward and seemingly lovely time for everyone.

Next up, he heads down to New York City with Ariel. She took him around the city, trying traditional Jewish fare like pastrami, gefilte fish and tongue sandwich. Meeting Ariel’s family was a little intense with her brother and father reasonably questioning the process and how well they know each other.

Columbus, Georgia was the next stop so that Zach could meet up with Charity and her family and friends. David, Charity’s father, was my personal favorite this week with the best dad energy and advice for his daughter. Most of Charity’s time with her friends and family was spent rehashing previous heartbreak and crying, but they closed it out with a country music bar.

Last, but not least, was Kaity in Austin. This feels a little unfair — or at the very least foreshadowing — as Zach is also from Austin. The duo went grocery shopping and built a bookshelf. Honestly, the truest test of whether a relationship would work is making a couple do mundane tasks without fighting, so I respect the move of having him do chores around your house. They finished with a visit to meet with Kaity’s mom.

A relatively straightforward hometown week episode with very little drama. Let’s get into the contenders, pretenders, those that have work to do and our Top Five.

The Bachelor recap: Contenders, pretenders and power rankings after Ep. 7

Greetings from Hungary as Zach and the ladies continue their journey for love.

I hope you’re Hungary for some drama, because the Bachelor crew has moved to Budapest.

Kaity was the first to get a second one-on-one, and they went sight-seeing in Budapest before writing each other poetry on a random typewriter atop a hill. At the dinner portion of the date, Kaity told Zach about all the men that have left her in her life and received a rose.

The group date visited a mentalist, meaning they all were either very weirded out by him reading their minds or broke down crying (or both). Crying and emotional outpourings continued into the evening, with Gabi getting the group date rose.

The second one-on-one had Zach take Brooklyn to the outdoor heated baths, making it back-to-back weeks with the Bachelor taking a woman into a spa-related bathing area. Despite them seemingly having a good time, Zach sent her home.

Next week, Zach is hitting up hometowns with the four remaining women.

Let’s get into the contenders, pretenders, those that have work to do and our Top Five.

Bachelor Ep. 6 recap: Contenders, pretenders and power rankings

Witches! Wife-carrying competitions! Naked saunas!

Good news! Zach is back! After an episode last week that saw our lead go down for the count with a positive COVID test, leading to a missed group date and solo date. The group relocated to Estonia since we last saw them, prompting one of the women to say it “reminded her of Frozen” because “it was cold and there are castles.” OK then!

In order to make up for last week, Zach re-invites Charity on the first one-on-one date. Things got spicy before they even got out the door, however, as Kat pulls him into the hallway for a chat before he departs with NOT her on a date. Unsurprisingly, the other women didn’t love that move, even when Kat explained it was because she [checks notes] missed him a bunch.

That led to a lot of tension with Brooklyn, who continues to call out people for their nonsense (therefore making her my favorite).

Charity and Zach had a lovely time going around Estonia by horse-drawn carriage, trying alcohol from men they just met and participating in a wife-carrying competition that felt like it was made for Legends of the Hidden Temple.

Zach took the ladies of the group date to an Estonian witch in the woods, and that’s all I have to say about that.

The second one-on-one with Ariel involved a sauna, a hot tub and a naked old couple. Despite that description, it went really well, and it’s clear Ariel and Zach have immense chemistry.

Things stayed spicy at the cocktail party as Charity tried to tell Kat she didn’t appreciate the latter smooching her boyfriend right before their date. Brooklyn interrupted that conversation (honestly, pretty unnecessarily), and it’s clear that drama is sticking around for another week.

Let’s get into the contenders, pretenders, those that have work to do and our Top Five.

Bachelor Ep. 5 recap: Contenders, pretenders and power rankings

Corgis, COVID and UB40.

The Bachelor‘s drama roadshow crossed the pond this week as Zach and the contestants took London by storm. If you were hoping for a lot of Americans saying “cheerio” and using bad British accents, well, you’re in luck.

Despite Greer having a tattoo of a tea cup, Zach chooses Gabi to accompany him on the first one-on-one date in England. Greer took that about as well as you would expect. Zach and Gabi created a fragrance, tried on designer gowns (well, Gabi did) and she got to waltz back into the hotel with arms full of bags on bags of fancy shoes and clothes.

The other women were just thrilled for her. Thrilled. Oh, wait, no, they were fake happy.

The rest of the date was blah blah whatever UB40 SHOWED UP, DEAR READERS! Usually the solo concerts are awkward, and we get a forced, “Oh, I love [insert singer or band literally no one has heard of]” from the contestants. This time, it was the iconic UB40 singing (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You. Whatever you do, if you know who UB40 is, don’t Twitter search the band because you’ll feel very, very old.

Things took a turn on the group date as Zach no-showed, saying he was too under the weather to go. The contestants still went on a double-decker bus, where they complained, got rained on and all around had a terrible time.

Turns out, Zach had COVID, although host Jesse Palmer’s delivery was exceedingly dramatic. The cocktail party and rose ceremony were done virtually — the first time in Bachelor history — and Kylee and Mercedes were sent back stateside without a rose.

Let’s get into the contenders, pretenders, those that have work to do and our Top Five.
