Watch Texas A&M transfer WR Micah Hudson train this offseason

New Texas A&M wide receiver Micah Hudson is already looking the part this offseason

Texas A&M’s transfer portal success truly began when the Aggies landed former Texas Tech and five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson, who will join what now looks like a loaded wide receiver room in 2025.

During Jimbo Fisher’s final season in College Station, the Aggies nearly landed Hudson out of high school before eventually sticking with his original Texas Tech commitment. After one injury-riddled season, Hudson only recorded eight receptions and 123 yards but did make several eye-popping plays during his lone season in Lubbock.

Set to write a new chapter and (hopefully) successful career with an Aggie team in desperate need of wide receiver talent, Hudson has been working hard this offseason, getting back to running crisp routes and showing off his elite quickness and footwork.

In a recent video, Hudson was seen training with Margin Hooks of “Skys The Limit Training. ” In several shots, he is seen looking up to speed while wearing a Texas A&M sweatshirt, already embracing his future with the Maroon & White.

Texas A&M running back room is in great shape after Le’Veon Moss’s return in 2025

If injuries aren’t an issue, Texas A&M’s 2025 running back running room is as deep as it’s been in years

Texas A&M’s 2025 roster is still building through the transfer portal. Still, Friday’s news that junior star running back Le’Veon Moss will return for a final season in Aggieland after enduring a season-ending knee injury in A&M’s loss to South Carolina.

Moss’s impact on the 2024 offense was undeniable. After his departure, OC Collin Klein failed to find consistency on the ground, losing the powerful running style and elite vision that led to 765 yards and ten touchdowns in eight games.

While backup RB Amari Daniels did all he could, the lack of depth and versatility behind him was too notable. Opposing defenses keyed in on the Aggie run game, virtually shutting down the threat. On top of it all, sophomore back Reuben Owens was lost for the season just weeks before the season opener vs. Notre Dame.

However, Owens did briefly return in the season-finale vs. Texas and will likely see a heavy snap count during A&M’s Las Vegas Bowl matchup against USC on Friday, Dec. 27.

Looking ahead to the 2025 running back room, Moss, Owens, and Daniels are the top 3 options, while freshmen Deondrae “Tiger” Riden and Jamarion Morrow round out the room, barring portal additions over the next month.

Going into the 2024 season, Owens looked like the starter before his injury and Moss’s emergence. While the script was flipped, Owens could lead to Daniels seeing fewer snaps next season, especially if Jamarion Morrow lives up to his recruiting hype during his first season.

Texas A&M lands a commitment from 2026 4-star TE out Lakewood (CA)

Texas A&M has earned a commitment from one of the top tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class has added its ninth commitment as of Saturday afternoon, as four-star tight end Caleb Tafua chose the Aggies over UCLA, Cal, Washington, and California. He is the first tight end pledge in the class.

With Collin Klein at OC, tight end is at a premium, playing a critical role in the offense ranging from inline blocking to splitting out wide, and on tape, Caleb Tafua looks the part.

Tafua is an up-and-comer with plenty of potential. He has strong hands and notable speed, and his multi-sport background as a volleyball and basketball player has aided his development. In 12 games during his 2024 junior season at Lakewood HS, Tafua recorded 44 receptions for 795 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Tafua stands at 6-4 and nearly 220 pounds, but once he enters a collegiate program, expect at least 20-30 more pounds to be added.

According to 247Sports, Tafua is currently ranked as the 193rd-ranked prospect, the 11th-ranked tight end, and the 26th-ranked prospect in California.

Former Texas A&M offensive lineman will transfer to Alabama

Kam Dewberry is headed to Alabama for his final collegiate season

Texas A&M’s transfer portal departures have slowly but surely begun to announce their new destinations for the 2025 season.

On Friday, it was announced that junior Edge Enai White would transfer to Penn State. At the same time, it was revealed on Saturday that junior offensive lineman Kam Dewberry will stay in the SEC and join Alabama in 2025.

Dewberry’s announcement was a surprise to some after he appeared in 34 games, including several starts during his A&M career. Still, his average play during the 2024 season, coupled with the fact that nearly every starting offensive lineman will return in 2025, was a sign that a new change of scenery was almost guaranteed.

This decision was exacerbated by the official return of starting right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, who announced his intentions on Friday. During the 2024 season, Dewberry played 261 snaps, earning an average 58.6 offensive grade and 51 pass-blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

Dewberry will likely serve as a reserve with Alabama but has a chance to compete for a starting spot at left guard.

College GameDay crew pick Texas A&M vs. USC in the Las Vegas Bowl

Here is how College GameDay sees Texas A&M vs. USC in the Las Vegas Bowl playing out

Texas A&M’s 2024 season may have ended at 8-4 amid Coach Mike Elko’s inaugural campaign, but the Aggies still have a chance to earn nine wins for the first time since the 2020 season with a win over USC (6-6) in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Set to face off against the Trojans on Friday, Dec. 27, Elko and his staff have continued their focus on adding talent from the transfer portal, looking to replenish the starting talent and depth lost to the portal and 2025 NFL Draft. However, USC is dealing with even more issues after losing two starting wide receivers and several defenders ahead of the game.

On Saturday, ESPN’s College GameDay predicted the winner of the notable bowl games outside of the College Football Playoff matchups this weekend, including Texas A&M vs. USC, and for the first time this season, as all four hosts, and former Ohio State/ Green Bay linebacker AJ Hawk picked the Aggies to win.

While some see this as a curse of sorts, Texas A&M’s roster, even at its current state, is more talented and battle-tested, while the Aggies are looking to remove the sour taste of losing to Texas in the season finale.

Former Texas A&M 4-star EDGE will transfer to the Big Ten

Enai White is headed to Penn State for the 2025 season

Former Texas A&M EDGE Enai White is headed back to his home state of Pennsylvania, as the junior pass rusher will transfer to Penn State for the 2025 season after failing to find a consistent role along the Aggie defensive line.

A four-star recruit in A&M’s historic 2022 recruiting class, White’s undeniable talent never came to fruition, mainly due to the Aggies’ deep defensive line rotation during his entire career in College Station. Once he entered the portal, it wasn’t surprising that many blue blood programs, including Penn State, were interested.

Standing at 6-5 and nearly 250 pounds, the metrics are there, but after recording 11 tackles and two sacks in three seasons, the Nittany Lions are getting a project player with high upside, but that can be said for a lot of transfer portal players who haven’t lived up to their recruiting expectations.

Enai White has three years of eligibility remaining, and I can safely say that every Aggie fan wishes him luck at his new destination.

Texas A&M lands a commitment from Colorado transfer EDGE

Texas A&M has landed its first defensive line commitment from the transfer portal

Texas A&M’s transfer portal success continued on Friday night. The Aggies landed a commitment from former Pitt/Colorado Edge Dayon Hayes, who has produced a lot, including 15 sacks since the 2020 season.

Over the past two weeks, Coach Mike Elko has received some criticism from the Aggie fan base regarding the program’s lack of movement in the transfer portal to replace the losses of defensive linemen Nic Scourton, Shemar Turner, and Shemar Stewart. Meanwhile, most of the reserve Edge/defensive end depth entered the transfer portal.

Hayes’ 2024 season was cut short after four games due to injury following surgery. If he had stayed healthy, we’re potentially taking about a double-digit sack season after recording 16 tackles and four sacks in four games.

Bring a solid mix of size and versatility, Hayes’ 6-3, 265-pound frame fits Texas A&M DC Jay Bateman’s scheme, as the senior pass rusher will likely line up outside while also shading inside at the 4i.

Elko and his staff still need to add a handful of defensive linemen to feel safe heading into the spring football season, but this is an excellent start.

Texas A&M’s Las Vegas Bowl depth chart reveals a surprising omission

Texas A&M’s Las Vegas Bowl depth chart features several starters/reserves left off the roster

Texas A&M’s roster will be depleted heading into the Las Vegas Bowl vs. USC on Friday, December 27, as NFL Draft departures couple with 19 players who entered the transfer portal left several position groups paper thin, but that’s the case for nearly every bowl-eligible team.

Knowing that defensive linemen Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart, and Shemar Turner have all opted out of the game as they prepare for the draft, this is a good opportunity for young players to step up and continue developing, especially in the trenches.

Nonetheless, our media team noticed some unexpected omissions, especially that senior wide receiver Moose Muhammad III was missing from the depth chart. Meanwhile, departing senior cornerbacks BJ Mayes and Jaydon Hill are included as starters and will participate in their last game for the Aggies.

Offensively, running back Amari Daniels is listed as the starter, but expect sophomore RB Reuben Owens to see more snaps after making his debut during the season finale loss to Texas.

One name to watch at wide receiver is freshman Ernest Campbell, one of the fastest players on the roster who has yet to see the field. He is listed as the backup X receiver behind Noah Thomas.

Texas A&M OL Ar’maj Reed-Adams has announed his future plans

Texas A&M starting right guard Ar’Maj Reed-Adams will return for the 2025 season!

Texas A&M’s 2025 offensive line is on pace to return four out of five starters from the 2024 season, which now includes starting right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, one of the top-rated pass protectors and run blockers in the country during his first season in College Station.

Per Pro Football Focus, Reed-Adams was one of the top-performing blockers on the team, earning a 76 offensive grade, 79.9 pass-blocking grade, and 81.0 run-blocking grade.

Though his return is significant, it is a surprise, considering he was projected to be a second or third-round pick in the NFL Draft. Kudos to head coach Mike Elko for demonstrating that the emerging culture at Texas A&M is encouraging players to come back, contributing to the Aggies’ pursuit of a spot in the College Football Playoff.

After transferring from Kansas, Reed-Adams earned his way into the starting lineup due to his size, strength, and aggressive play. He is also one of the more versatile offensive linemen on the roster due to his experience at both tackle spots.

Ar’maj Reed-Adams joins running back Le’Veon Moss as the third and fourth players to announce their returns for the 2025 season.

Texas A&M star RB Le’Veon Moss reveals his future plans

Texas A&M star running back Le’Veon Moss will officially return for his 2025 senior season!

According to his Instagram post, Texas A&M’s 2025 roster received a significant boost, as incoming senior running back Le’Veon Moss will officially return next season. His season-ending injury this season has motivated the veteran back to have a career year in 2025.

While nothing is official until the player himself releases an announcement, it was presumed that Moss would give it another go, mainly so his lower-body injury could completely heal, while his future draft stock will likely soar behind Texas A&M’s veteran offensive line, which should return nearly every starter from the 2024 roster.

Moss was the focal point of Texas A&M’s offense this season before sustaining a knee injury in the loss to South Carolina, finishing the year with 765 yards and ten touchdowns, including a 63 yards per carry average that led the SEC for most of the year.

Moss’s powerful running style, coupled with his elite vision and footwork, was sorely missed after his injury, and given the added depth from the 2025 recruiting class, Texas A&M’s running back room is in the best shape it’s been in years after Moss’s announcement.
