2026 4-star OT out of Forth Worth (TX) is set to visit Texas A&M this weekend

2026 4-star offensive tackle John Turntine III will reportedly visit Texas A&M this weekend

This week, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko discussed several topics regarding the progress made during the Aggies’ spring football practice season, as the annual Maroon & White spring game is set for next Saturday afternoon.

As the roster has made considerable strides since the start of the spring period, Elko and his staff have also been very busy hosting a litany of 2025, 2026, and even 2027 prospects over the last couple of weekends, which will continue for the remainder of the month.

This weekend, Jaxson Callaway, professionally known as “AggiesToday,” recently reported that the Aggies will host 2026 four-star offensive tackle John Turntine III of Fort Worth, Texas, one of the top tackles in the entire 2026 cycle.

Standing at 6-5 and nearly 300 pounds, Turntine is one heck of an athlete. He started at left tackle during his 2023 sophomore season at North Crowley HS, consistently exhibiting impressive footwork and hand placement in pass protection. His upfield speed-to-power skillset makes him a future run-blocking aficionado.

According to Rivals, Turntine is currently positioned as the 31st-ranked prospect in Texas and the 19th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class.

2026 3-Star OT out of Spring (TX) is visiting Texas A&M this weekend

2026 3-star offensive tackle Nicolas Robertson out of Spring (TX) is currently visiting Texas A&M

This weekend is a busy one for Texas A&M football, as a bevy of 2025, 2026, and even 2027 prospects have made their way to College Station for a loading recruiting weekend amid the Aggies spring practice period.

While every cycle is filled with notable names, one name that consistently sticks out is 2026 3-star offensive tackle Nicolas Robertson. Although he may be somewhat raw on tape, he displays incredible potential in the trenches.

Entering his junior season at Klein HS in Spring (TX), Robertson is a man among boys as the starting right tackle during his 2023 sophomore campaign, standing at an intimidating 6-4 and weighing nearly 320 pounds, consistently dominating defenders as a run blocker while holding his own in pass protection.

With two seasons left to continue developing as a solid pass protector, working on his footwork, hand placement, and short-area quickness, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and new offensive line coach Adam Cushing are smart to get Robertson on campus as much as possible to gain ground early.

According to Rivals, Robertson is currently positioned as the 41st-ranked prospect in Texas and the 40th-ranked prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

Texas A&M’s 2025 and 2026 visitors list has and will continue to grow, and while June and July provide a cushion for prospects who are on summer vacation, for those who want to visit programs much sooner, spring practices starting the month provide ample opportunity.

This week, Rival’s Brandon Howard reported that 2026 5-star defensive lineman JeReylan McCoy would make a wave of visits later this month, including consecutive visits to Texas (March 22) and Texas A&M (March 23). The incoming senior at Tupelo (HS) once shared the field with current Aggies freshman linebacker Tristan Jernigan.

Standing at 6-6 and 245 pounds, McCoy has primarily played defensive end during his last two seasons, netting 44 tackles and 11 sacks during his 2023 sophomore season. With two more years to grow and develop, McCoy is bound to get faster and stronger, while his versatility as an outside and inside pass rusher is imminent.

According to 247Sports Composite, McCoy is currently positioned as the 17th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 3rd-ranked defensive lineman, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Mississippi.
