Former Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is looking to work his way back onto an NFL team.
Pryor spoke to TMZ this week and said he’s 100 percent healthy again after dealing with a hamstring injury last season. He also was stabbed in the neck and chest last November after a confrontation with a woman.
The 31-year-old said he’s spoken with the New England Patriots already but hasn’t been able to get a tryout due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Four other teams have been in contact with Pryor.
Pryor spent six games with the Jets in 2018 before getting released in October due to a groin injury. As a Jet, Pryor recorded 14 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
Pryor was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 2011 out of Ohio State. He started 10 games as a quarterback in three years with Oakland before being traded to Seattle. Pryor wasn’t on an NFL roster in 2014 and then was finally signed in 2015 by the Browns. He was in Cleveland for two years and recorded a 1,000-yard season in 2016.
Pryor moved onto the Redskins in 2017 but only played in nine games due to an ankle injury. After leaving the Jets in 2018, Pryor signed on with the Bills for two games until his release. In 2019, Pryor spent training camp with the Jaguars before getting cut.
