Brooks Koepka, the four-time major champion and runner-up to Jon Rahm at the Masters last month, leads the 2023 PGA Championship by one stroke with 18 holes to play.

For the second consecutive day, Koepka posted the low round of the day, a 4-under 66. One behind are Corey Conners and Viktor Hovland. Hovland will play in the final group with Koepka. Bryson DeChambeau sits at 3 under, Scottie Scheffler is 2 under while Rory McIlroy is five back at 1 under.

Koepka is the betting favorite to win at +140, with Hovland second in line at +330.

Two days of the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, are in the books, and big names are all over the leaderboard.

Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland and Corey Conners are tied for the lead at 5 under, while Justin Suh and Bryson DeChambeau are tied for fourth at 3 under. Brooks Koepka is 2 under through two rounds, and Rory McIlroy is two behind at even par.

The eyes of the golf world are on Upstate New York for the second men’s major championship of the season.

The world’s best players have descended upon Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, for the 105th playing of the PGA Championship, the fourth time the PGA of America has chosen the Donald Ross design to host its signature men’s event.

Day 1 at Oak Hill is in the books and big names are scattered across the leaderboard. Bryson DeChambeau opened with a 4-under 68, Scottie Scheffler shot a 3-under 67 while Jon Rahm stumbled to a 6-over 76.

However, it’s Eric Cole at the top as he’s 5 under through 14 holes. The first round was suspended due to darkness.

The 2022-23 season, the final to feature a wraparound schedule, teed off on Thursday with the 2022 Fortinet Championship at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California. The event was formerly known as the Safeway Open.

Max Homa is off to a great start trying to defend his title. Danny Willett fired an 8-under 64 on Friday to tie Homa at 12 under for the lead. On the other foot, some golfers are working on their final tune ups before the Presidents Cup next week, with some making the cut while others will head to Quail Hollow Club early. The cut was 2 under.

2022 Fortinet Championship tee times, TV info for Thursday’s first round

Everything you need to know for Thursday’s first round.

After a brief two-week break following the Tour Championship, the PGA Tour is back in action with a brand new season.

The 2022-23 season, the final to feature a wraparound schedule, tees off on Thursday with the 2022 Fortinet Championship at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California. The event was formerly known as the Safeway Open.

Max Homa is back to defend his title and make his final preparations before making his 2022 Presidents Cup debut next week at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fellow President Cuppers in the field include Hideki Matsuyama, Corey Conners, Taylor Pendrith, and Cam Davis.
