Longtime Colorado OL pledge Talan Chandler flips commitment to Missouri

Colorado lost another commitment at a position of need

Exactly one week after Winston Watkins Jr. announced his decommitment, Colorado watched another prized recruit have a change of heart.

This time, it was class of 2024 interior offensive lineman Talan Chandler who flipped his commitment from the Buffs to Missouri on Sunday. As a Missouri native, the three-star prospect said it had always been a dream of his to stay home. The Tigers offered Chandler just over a week ago on Nov. 10.

But for Colorado, this one stings, especially considering how much help the Buffs need on the offensive line.

Chandler had been committed to head coach Deion Sanders since Feb. 3.

Multiple CU Buffs commits add to their highlight reels on Friday

Several #cubuffs commits looked quite impressive on Friday night

The 2023 season kicked off for many high school football teams across the country on Friday night and a handful of Colorado commits enjoyed big performances.

Those who were in action on Friday included quarterback Danny O’Neil, running backs Micah Welch and Jamarice Wilder, wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr., defensive end Eric Brantley and offensive lineman Talan Chandler, whose Nevada Tigers (Missouri) were scrimmaging.

Minus Chandler and Brantley, each of those Buffs commits recorded at least one touchdown. Colorado’s future is looking bright with this crop of talent, to say the least.
