If you were expecting a 2024 NFL supplemental draft mock draft, you will be disappointed. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league unformed teams that there will be no supplemental draft this summer.
Historically, intended for players who, because of extenuating circumstances, did not enter the NFL draft, decided to not return to college hoping to play in the NFL.
It is the fourth time in five years there is no supplemental draft. There was one held every year from 1977-2019 but then underwent a three-year hiatus. It returned in 2023 without a player being selected and now there will not be one in 2024.
The Arizona Cardinals have selected three players in the supplemental draft in their history and were the last team to make a pick. The last player selected in the supplemental draft was safety Jalen Thompson, taken by Arizona using a fifth-round pick.
