Tom Izzo talks Spartans trip to NMU

Michigan State basketball is heading to the upper peninsula to play an exhibition game against Northern Michigan inside of the Superior Dome.  Tom Izzo, an NMU alum, is going to use this opportunity to have a fun team trip in the northern part of the state, where his roots are from.

Ahead of the trip this weekend, Izzo spoke to the media, sharing some thoughts on the game and trip, as well as a status update on where his team is at.

Superior Dome matchup to be featured on Big Ten Network

MSU v NMU will be featured on BTN with two of the best broadcasters in the business on the call

Michigan State basketball is going to the upper peninsula to play an exhibition matchup against Northern Michigan, the alma mater of MSU head coach Tom Izzo.

While an exciting game for MSU’s head man, and the program as a whole, fans will now be able to take in the action with two of the best commentators in the sport on the call.

According to the Northern Michigan athletics website, the game is going to be featured on the Big Ten Network with Lisa Byington and Bill Raftery on the call.
