Tom Brady’s incredible Instagram recap of the Super Bowl included a rough moment for Patrick Mahomes

Tom Brady just won Instagram, too.

Tom Brady won his seventh Super Bowl on Sunday.

On Monday, he was just like us – killing time on Instagram. But unlike us he spent that time making an incredible recap of his latest Super Bowl win, all with special songs to go along with each moment.

Now this probably isn’t Brady’s actual work on Instagram, as I have to think someone on his team gets paid good money to do this. But hey, let’s just play along with it and enjoy some of the highlights while imaging that the GOAT is sitting there looking up photos and songs to post.

One of those highlights was a painful moment for Patrick Mahomes.

Here’s a video of a good chunk of his Instagram story:

The Counter: How the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl 55

Football is so complicated. Except when it isn’t.

Football is a remarkably complex game, with 11 players on each side flying into highly orchestrated chaos at the snap of the ball. You think about the men and women (thanks, Bruce Arians) who coach the sport and the time they’ve put into training athletes on technique as well as the hours spent watching film and developing game plans and it’s all a little bewildering.

Then you get to the final game of the year, with the two teams who’ve found a way to persevere that long, and the margins are as small as can be. In can take days or weeks of digging to understand the final result of a game like that.

Or, as is the case with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 31-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55, the why and how are blindingly obvious: One team just couldn’t block the other.

Kansas City’s banged up line never gave QB Patrick Mahomes a chance. That’s the most obvious reason the Bucs won. But it was still up to Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to make that advantage count with a smart game plan.

Then there was the work of Byron Leftwich, the Bucs offensive coordinator who found a way to make Bruce Arians’ high-velocity downfield offense work for legendary QB Tom Brady, who is more comfortable working a quick, short and efficient scheme.

4 takeaways from Tom Brady’s Super Bowl win: What it means for the Bucs, the Patriots and the NFL

4 takeaways from Tom Brady’s Super Bowl 55 win with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What more can you say?

In his first season away from the New England Patriots, 43-year-old Tom Brady bested teams led by Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes  in the playoffs to win his seventh Super Bowl ring — more Super Bowl wins than any NFL franchise.

Brady will always be remembered as a Patriot, first and foremost. His magnum opus remains Super 51, in which he famously erased a 28-3 deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons to win in overtime.

But as NFL Media’s Judy Battista perfectly stated in her postgame piece, this is Brady’s “crowning achievement.”

Much will be made about Brady winning a Super Bowl outside of Bill Belichick’s ‘Patriot Way,’ and that’s notable, but this win did much more than that for Brady’s legacy.

Here are our takeaways, both in-game and legacy wise, from the GOAT’s Super Bowl 55 performance.
