Former Wisconsin RB, Super Bowl 52 legend visits Philadelphia Eagles training camp practice

Former Wisconsin running back and Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 52 hero Corey Clement visited the Eagles 2024 training camp practice on Sunday.

The versatile running back is a free agent entering the 2024 NFL season after spending the last few seasons on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.

Clement played for Wisconsin from 2013-2016. He appeared in 39 games over those four seasons, rushing for 3,092 total yards and 36 touchdowns.

2016 was Clement’s best in his college career. He helped lead the Badgers to an 11-3 record with 1,375 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on 314 carries, plus 12 receptions and 132 receiving yards.

The 2016 first-team All-Big Ten running back went unselected during the 2017 NFL draft and signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent.

Clement’s Eagles tenure was by far his best as a professional.

His rookie season in 2017 included a career-high 74 carries, 321 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. He played a critical role in the Eagles’ 41-33 Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots, catching four passes for 100 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Clement’s career never took off after that. He played for the Eagles until the end of the 2020 season, primarily seeing time on special teams. He then spent 2021 with the Dallas Cowboys, and 2022 and 2023 with the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite a lack of longevity, Clement’s career will always be remembered in Philadelphia thanks to his Super Bowl performance. His third-quarter touchdown reception remains one of the more impressive, and improbable, plays in Super Bowl history.

Former Eagles safety Rodney McLeod trolled Bill Belichick after Patriots exit with Super Bowl 52 reminder

Okay, this was very funny.

Cleveland Browns safety Rodney McLeod got perhaps the best trolling in at former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick after he exited the franchise on Thursday.

McLeod was a part of the Philadelphia Eagles team that beat the Patriots in Super Bowl 52, and McLeod used a photo of him celebrating with his former Philadelphia teammates while Belichick was walking by to send him off.

McLeod called it “the only photo I have of myself and Belichick!”

Whew, now that’s a funny way to wish the greatest NFL coach of all time well before his next coaching stop in the league.

While we’re not sure where Belichick will coach next, we are sure that McLeod’s social media post made us chuckle.

We’ll see how Belichick transitions into this next phase of his career, and we commend McLeod for finding an inspired way to lightly poke at Belichick during one of the more historic moments in the NFL lately.

Watch: Peyton Manning jabs Tom Brady by mentioning Nick Foles during ‘The Match’

Peyton Manning trolls Tom Brady by bringing up Super Bowl 52 loss during The Match

Nick Foles is now a member of the Chicago Bears but he’ll always be remembered for leading the Eagles to a 41-33 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52.

On Sunday Tom Brady and his fiercest rival Peyton Manning was in action again, this time on the golf course as partners with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.

Hoping to get a reaction out of Brady, Manning reference Foles and the Eagles win over New England a few years back.

During their back and forth Brady seemed to poke fun at the Falcons while admitting that the Eagles loss still makes him cringe.

Foles chimed in on the fun and even gave Manning a few extra tips to help throw Brady off.

10 reasons Ravens fans should be excited about the future

A look at the reasons why spirits should be high in Baltimore and their tradition as one of the best franchises in football will continue.

I know it can be disheartening when a team with one of the best seasons in franchise history –maybe even NFL history if you count all the records broken — suffers an unexpected and somewhat uncharacteristic loss at the hands of a seemingly lesser team. But for the Baltimore Ravens, all is certainly not lost after the 2019 season.

Sure, every season is a proverbial question mark before it eventually takes shape, even for the most successful NFL franchises when you account for all the variables. But the Ravens have a lot to be excited about heading into what is typically an uncertain future.

Let’s take a look at 10 reasons why spirits should be high in Baltimore and their tradition as one of the best franchises in football will continue.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Lamar Jackson

We have to start with the NFL’s most electric quarterback. It’s hard not to be excited about the future with the prospect of Jackson leading the offense in Baltimore for years to come.

In only his second year, Jackson seemingly defied all the odds, all the naysayers, and all the NFL records on his way to an unprecedented season and MVP honor.

Even though he has yet to win a playoff game, what Jackson accomplished this season — passing for over 3,000 yards, rushing for the new league record by a quarterback, and leading the league in touchdown passes — was nothing short of remarkable. His losses in the postseason are only fueling his desire to win and ultimately fulfill his promise of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in Baltimore.
