Chandler enters top 10; four new teams enter Super 25 Football Ranks

Check out the Super 25 Football Rankings for Week 14! Did your team make the list this week?

[jwplayer 3999SUJs-BmKM743H]

With Chandler (Arizona) star running back Dae Dae Hunter injured last game, other players had to step up to fill the void he left.

One of those players was Jaheim Brown-Taylor. As reported by The Arizona Republic, when the Wolves got a costly penalty, Brown-Taylor had a 41-yard run to help them recover. Hunter ran the ball just one time, but Brown-Taylor put together strong runs to help Chandler stay undefeated and move past Salpointe Catholic (Tucson Arizona).

FULL RANKINGS: Super 25 Football Rankings, Week 14

Head coach Rick Garretson liked what he saw.

“Jaheim had his moment of greatness,” Garretson told The Arizona Republic. “We always talk about, when you get their opportunities, make something happen. I feel so elated for him, because we don’t win this game without those plays, his runs.”

The Wolves’ big victory helped them enter the top 10 of the rankings this week. The team was previously in 12th place last poll, but now they’re No. 10.

Chandler will move onto Open Final. It will play against Saguaro (Scottsdale, Arizona) on Dec. 7.

“It’s the final eight,” Brown-Taylor told The Arizona Republic, referring to the eight-team Open Division, the first of its kind in Arizona. “This is the best in the state. We still got the dub, and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

IMG Academy (Bradenton Florida) also cracked the top 10 of the rankings this week, a familiar sight for this team. IMG Academy is No. 9 after being at No. 11 last week. Its season is already over, but other teams slipping up have led IMG Academy back into the top 10 of the ranks.

There are four new teams in the rankings this week: Armwood (Seffner, Florida),  East St. Louis  (Illinois),  Saguaro and Muskego (Wisconsin).

Allen moves up in Week 13 Super 25 Football Rankings

Check out the Super 25 Football Rankings for Week 13… See who made it!

[jwplayer zgbMGmqL-BmKM743H]

After it didn’t crack the Preseason Super 25 Football Rankings, Allen (Texas) has proven that snub wrong week in, week out.

The Eagles finished the regular season undefeated. The team rolled over Sachse (Texas) 55-20 in its playoff game Friday.

FULL RANKINGS: Super 25 Football Rankings, Week 13

“This time of the year, it can get old doing the same thing each week, but it’s about you wanting to get better and improve,” Allen coach Terry Gambill told Star Local Media.

With the win, Allen notched its record to 11-0. And it gets better for the Eagles this week: the team also cracked the top 10 of the Super 25, moving up from No. 11 last week to No. 9 this time around. Next up, Allen will play Rockwall (Texas) in the playoffs.

Other than that, there were very few changes in the Super 25 Rankings. Due to Allen moving up,  Lakeland (Florida) and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) moved down just one spot each.

Two new teams enter Week 12 Super 25 Football Rankings

Check out the Week 12 Super 25 Football Rankings! Which teams made the list?

[jwplayer YHRlNYBP-BmKM743H]

The two new teams in the Super 25 Football Rankings went down different paths to make the list this week.

McEachern (Powder Springs, Georgia) has been nearly perfect so far. The team escaped a close game in which Hillgrove (Powder Springs, Georgia) appeared to have scored a decisive touchdown, only to have it not count.

FULL RANKINGS: Super 25 Football Rankings, Week 12

But other than that, the team has looked impressive, especially of late. McEachern has routed in-state opponents three consecutive weeks. Before that, the team earned a close 14-12 win over Marietta (Georgia). All that success in Georgia boosted its resume to the point where McEachern was too hard to deny. It came in ranked No. 24 this week.

St Joseph’s (Philadelphia) season has looked a little different. The team started off with out-of-state opponents in the Super 25. It lost two of its first three games to tough teams: Marietta and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida). However, the team also defeated St. John’s (Washington D.C.) during that slate, which at the time ranked fourth in the country.

A battle-tested St Joseph’s went on to win seven consecutive games and notched its record to 8-2. During that streak, the team has put up at least 42 points in all of its victories. Most recently, it defeated La Salle College (Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania) 52 – 7. St Joseph’s was ranked No. 25 this week.

There were very few changes other than those two making the ranks. Other teams moved up a spot in the rankings, like Muskegon (Michigan) going from No. 17 to No. 16, but there were no major moves in the ranks this week.
