After taking a 24-14 lead to the locker room, the Gators quickly increased the gap over South Carolina in the third quarter.

Florida went three-and-out to start the second half, but it stopped the Gamecocks, and its offensive success continued after that. UF scored the following drive on a touchdown from quarterback Kyle Trask to receiver Trent Whittemore, the first score of the true freshman’s career.

Later in the frame, Trask hit Kadarius Toney across the middle of the field, and Toney worked his magic. He somehow escaped from five Gamecocks defenders to score a long touchdown.

South Carolina added a field goal late in the period, but Florida carried its three-score lead into the fourth quarter. USC trails 38-17 and is struggling to contain the Gators’ offense, which has accounted for 341 yards.

After the two tosses, Trask has thrown four touchdowns, putting him at 10 for the season through less than two games.
