MSU will be continuing a fan favorite tradition against FAU

Michigan State is going to be continuing a fan favorite tradition in 2024. After fans clamored for a Friday night opener against Florida Atlantic, the athletic department will be taking it one step further, continuing the tradition of striping out the stadium on opening night against the Owls.

Michigan State and Florida Atlantic will take the field at Spartan Stadium on Friday, Aug. 30.

Michigan State football to stripe the stadium against Central Michigan

MSU will be continuing a home opener tradition against CMU:

Michigan State’s season opener is approaching fast, as the Spartans will host the Chippewas of Central Michigan on Friday night, September 1st, inside of Spartan Stadium.

While continuing the tradition of a Friday night home opener, the Spartans will be continuing another tradition for the season opener, and that is striping out the stadium.

Fans in even sections are asked to wear green, while odd sections and students are asked to wear white.

Michigan State football to ‘stripe the stadium’ against Western Michigan

Fans have been told to be ready to stripe the stadium this Friday in the home opene against Western Michigan

Michigan State will open their 2022 season this Friday, September 2nd, against Western Michigan at home inside of Spartan Stadium. Staying with the trend of keeping fans involved with the game, and knowing the big role a crowd can play in having homefield advantage, Michigan State will be striping out the stadium for the game against the Broncos.

Fans sitting in even sections are told to wear green, while fans in odd sections, as well as students, are told to wear white.
